Nope I treated just as I would an approach with say the A320 or 737, I had the descent in and followed the LNAV path controlling speed via IAS - I am wondering if it because it was a sorry not sure on the technical term, but a "teardrop" style approach even though still ILS rather than a straight in. If the FMS got confused somewhere but as far as I could tell the waypoints sequenced ok.
Only at the point in the video was the first attempt at either VORLOC or APP button pressed, I shall have to try another airport that has an traditional approach.
I'll have to read through the manual again in more depth see if I missed a step in the approach phase.
Thanks again for the reply and such - I am still rather basic in hand fly approaches so rather dependant on ILS haha noobie skills indeed!
