    @voice-of-reason said in Baron Turbo Coms issue:

    If you would like a quick solution that will automatically enable COM3 whenever COM1 and COM2 are selected, paste the following into the AnalogBaron.xml

    Hi,
    I tried this hotfix, but I still can't it monitor COM2 when COM1 is active. It doesn't work as "BOTH" radio recive from other default aircrafts.
    Any other sugestion for quick fix?

    Thank you for a very detailed explanation.

    My main concern was that I was getting this alarm on at least 95% of my flights.
    Hopefully those changes to the xml file and by using density altitude will reduce or eliminate this issue for me.

    Thanks again for a very enjoyable product.
    It has changed the way I fly.
    I am always on the lookout for abnormal conditions when I fly.

    @voice-of-reason

    Well I'll do some more experiments to narrow down the issue.

    I have the latest updates for everything including the TDS GTN 750 and Navigraph.

    Annoyingly, my Arrow Turbo IV and Kodiak work fine.

    A lot of posts are saying that the "sim in general" has inconsistent behaviour when it comes to ILS approaches.

    I guess converting this to a gauge-based aircraft with a customised (?) KAP 140, may have introduced a degree of "pinnickerty-ness."

    (....yup... just made up that word: but it seems appropriate 🤣)

    I will return with my findings.

    Thnx.

    More from the developer for you on this after some findings today...

    I did some testing with this today. The pressurization system is working correctly to my knowledge. When you exceed the maximum cabin differential pressure, the pressurization controller does not simply limit the maximum differential, but will "bump" (as the manual calls it) the pressure relief valve open with hysteresis to reduce cabin pressure before descending once again. I slightly adjusted the altitude goal animation to give more precise numbers (I doubt the unit in the real aircraft is this precise, given my experience owning GA aircraft). Don't forget that the marking on the face of the instrument also makes the setting subject to parallax effects. I also found the pressure differential needle to read about 0.1 PSI high, which has now been corrected, but this would not affect the warning annunciators.

    Cruising at 25,000 ft, I was able to maintain a cabin altitude of 12,500 ft with a pressure differential of 3.674 PSI, which matched on all the needles. At 25,000 ft, the maximum pressure differential of 3.9 PSI was achieved with a cabin altitude of 11,800 ft, which is slightly better performance than advertised. I had found similar results on a previous investigation for another customer. Keep in mind that the cabin pressurization scale depicts pressure altitude, not adjusted cruising altitude. This means that the altitudes advertised will only be exact on a perfectly standard temperature and pressure day.

    If you would like the new settings for the pressure differential needle of a more accurate reading, please change the following values in the "CabinDifferentialPressureNeedle" Component of AnalogBaron.xml. This file is located at: [YourCommunityFolder]\bksq-aircraft-analogbaron\SimObjects\Airplanes\bksq-aircraft-analogbaron\model.base\

    MAX_VALUE 7 --> 9
    END_DEG 285 --> 360

    Good luck, hope that works.

    @gabe777 A reply from the developer that we hope will help you...

    We have not received any other reports of battery overheat problems in the Analog Caravan. For troubleshooting, if this happens before ever turning the generator or standby alternator on, then it is the result of a starter overheat. If it happens after turning on the generators or connecting external power, then it's a battery overheat caused by excessive charging rate. Monitoring the battery charge rate via the multimeter, and the "Starter Engaged" annunciator light should reveal which of these two conditions is causing the problem. If it appears to be neither, there is a possibility that it is due to a hardware control binding that is interfering with this specific aircraft. We have not received any reports of this happening, but technical support is always happy to look at your exact situation and help remedy the problem.

    @rcaiafa From the dev once again...

    Could you please share the exact VOR station you are testing with, and maybe a screenshot of your instruments when you have no signal? I'm happy to take a look.

    @flying_drunkard Answer from the dev;

    Thank you for pointing this out. Already fixed and ready for the next update. Just to clarify for anyone reading, the electroluminescent panel label backlighting was missing on the pressurization switch panel in the 58P.

    Does the AP work in this ?

    The Caravan is hopeless. Rarely captures the ILS when pressing APR in Heading/GPS/ROLL mode.

    All my other GAs with the KAP 140 are perfect.

    The CDi works but it will not intercept even when at just 100 kias and very narrow intercept angle.

    Even read the RW manual... not doing anything wrong.

    @outermarker there is an ongoing issue with the TDS 750. Checkout their Discord and notes on processes to add to your antivirus software. If you use Norton 360 (as I did) the issue is further compounded. There may also be an issue with real weather and the TDS although I'm happy to say that changing AV provider solved my stutters.
    As a note, I also had the stutters in other aircraft such as the C414

    @voice-of-reason hi and sorry for the late reply. Today I completed two flights to see if I could reproduce the issue but no, this time everything went smooth. I'll post videos if I can reproduce a similar issue again with the autopilot. Thanks once more.

    As a note, I have heard of an issue similar to this. I think it was in the base sim, not sure if it was fixed. Back then the developer also said they couldn't replicate it. Turns out the reason for this was that the developer was pressing B to set the altimeter. This also did other things in the background that fixed the discrepancy. Not sure if this is the same issue here, but if anyone is trying to replicate this, try to do it without hitting B and by setting the altimeter by hand.

    I finally found the cause of the stuttering. It's Windows Defender. When it's disabled everything works fine, no stuttering with the Bonanza or the Baron. So I installed an antivirus configured in game mode and that replaces WD. So everything works fine.
    Thank you all for your help
