    @sender46 in the virtual cockpit? That’s funny! Don’t know if I ever saw that button. Can’t wait to go see. I only have over 250hours in the turbo Arrows! 🙄

    Thanks for that @Sender46!

    Hi,

    I just found on this forum that this is already a known bug.
    To change the co-pilot, yuo'll have to change pilot avatar, not the co-pilot.

    Cheers,
    Marc

    @weptburrito Thanks for confirming that I had the wrong files. Today I see JF has completely removed the hot fix files from the community website, and released updated installation apps for the Arrows. Such confusion I suspect due to a well intentioned effort to fix things.

    @martyn Hi,
    Thanks for the response. I also can try to go through the different CL to look for the different problematic items.

    I really like the Arrow's vintage avionics set.

    @pepe_fr said in COM/NAV issues:

    Another strange thing (was unable to replicate in flight, but on ground only, very strange) : COM radios are OFF when the NAV radios are OFF (ATC dialog is being "grayed").

    That's unfortunately a limitation of the way MSFS simulates radios. We have separate power circuits and logic for the COM and NAV radios but, presumably because the default aircraft haven't required entirely separate COM and NAV radios, the two are somehow linked 'behind the scenes'. We've not yet been able to find a way around that.

    Same for passengers...
    That's possible as certain addons already do it (the ATSim P149D for example).

    Thanks !!

    Hmm...not seeing this at all, in any of the Arrows. Turbo Arrow v.5.1 according to the EFB.

    @martyn Sorry, I figured it out and forgot I had posted this here.

    I found out that it only happened when I had aircraft damage enabled in assistance (I normally have this disabled but the update reset it).

    Yes, it's likely conflicting with the custom light switch logic in the PA28. If you haven't already done so, contact the support team via a ticket so they can investigate.

    @elkebek I've experienced the same thing before, but not just with the arrow. I get freezes (some permanent, some unfreeze after like 2 minutes) with other planes too, even default ones

    @delta558 Tried a couple more flights today, everything was fine. Must have been a rogue setting at my end.

    @n293wk I really think there is enough latitude between present display of the heading bug and what you describe without necessearlly sinking into extremism ;)
    I already know for the GPS 100 but as I said it is the facts about realism (it's not a reproach to the JF developers).
    And about the altitude hold mode, If I follow your thougth, pointing the HSI with the mouse and instantly make theheading bug bigger or with a changed color while cursor is over, would be a nice solution... which I'm not convinced ;)

    I prefer to have the bug with more seable color (increase luminance ?) than changing his shape ... and of course, you have well understood the subject... having the bug be visible 100% of the time :ok_hand_light_skin_tone: and not be forced to zoom with the nose on the HSI to see where the bug is :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

    I noticed that before I was playing with a 4K monitor and the bug was seable but since I play in FullHD it's very harder !

  • A couple of questions of these planes

    @jfri "more powerful plane" is a bit vague. Specifically, it's an arrow fitted with a turbocharger, which does make more powerful, though the effect is noticed most at higher altitudes. Basically, the turbo variant can go higher before efficiency diminishes due to less dense air, which means you can go faster and cruise up to FL200.

    There are a few other differences, such as the interior color (non-turbo iii is red, turbo iii is blue, and turbo iv is beige I think). The turbo variants also only come with a clean interior, while the non-turbo gives you the choice between the clean and weathered interiors.

    The flight models are constantly being improved, and I would say currently the non-turbo and turbo arrow iii's handle adverse yaw quite differently. Never having flown a plane, I don't know which is more realistic, but the good news is they are always making improvements based on the real planes and community feedback.

    I have not noticed a performance hit vs default planes, and I believe that is something that JF specifically had in mind when designing the planes. The textures in some areas are lower quality, but it's mostly places you won't be seeing 99% of the time anyway (e.g. the ceiling). And with little to no glass screens, there isn't much else to suck up FPS.

    Hope this is helpful!
