Today with the Turbo Arrow III (v0.5.5) with GTN750 GPS add-on, the Autopilot was completely malfunctioning.

I tried several times to engage the Autopilot to maintain the heading selected on the heading bug. The Autopilot mode selector (next to magneto switch) was correctly in the middle position for heading hold (HDG). Each time I flipped the Autopilot switch, the plane would bank sharply to the left or right. It didn't matter whether I flipped the HDG ON switch as clicking only the Autopilot switch would trigger this sharp banking, which would have resulted in a spin if I didn't quickly disengage Autopilot.

Anyone else having problems with the Autopilot? I can post a video if needed. I've been flying this plane since May 2021, having logged 85.6 hours and 105 landings, and don't recall having this problem. I'm very familar with how the autopilot system works, so don't understand why it can no longer simply hold the assigned heading like it had done numerous times before.

Still Can't determine what the problem is. Sometimes the autopilot works fine, sometimes it causes sharp banks to left or right. Current hypothesis is FSRealistic is causing a problem.

@nightofdreams Yes, sometimes it seems to work, other times it nosedives to the side.
I've given up trying to use it, it's just too unreliable. JF are working on an update that should be out soon, hopefully that will sort it.

Better avoid activating (do not even turn it on for testing purpose) AP while still on ground, usually that is the trigger to AP crazy behavior.
