Analog Caravan Engine Behaviour
-
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought the Analog Caravan to have a 208B that operated realistically in MSFS.
When I was buying it, I was under the impression that one of the main aspects of upgrades over the vanilla Caravan was in regards to how the engine operated. I understood that this addon overhauled engine operation to a realistic standard.
However after about 20 hours and nearly a dozen flights, I repeatedly see that some behaviours I would expect of a "realistic" turboprop engine simulation do not manifest themselves. Namely, ITT increase with altitude and residual heat.
I am in a flight right now over Southern France and have climbed at max-power to 22,000ft with the engine getting colder and colder as I climb.
I have also witnessed engine heat resetting to ambient after each shut down.
Additionally I also keep seeing the engine temperature exceeding well over the redline in every startup, when in real life it barely even reaches it with starts over 16% Ng.
I am not questioning the integrity of the promotional material, but I am starting to suspect that somehow, despite the cockpit looking like I am using the correct addon, I am actually experiencing vanilla Caravan engine simulation.
Does anyone what could be the issue and this might have happened?
I am using default livery that came with the install.Assistance is appreciated.
Edit: Don't know if this is relevant but I just noticed the default liveries that come with Analog Overhaul install looks the same once I start a flight, no matter which one I choose.
