    Hi.

I keep reading in various places that SU4 has fixed the dynamic registration issue. Not for me, sometimes I get a zoomed in portion of the reg on the port side only. Starboard side is always blank - other times nothing on either side. Reg is standard UK format (I’ve also tried experimenting with various strings).

The visual impact is hard to ignore so looking forward to this being fixed. Keen to know if the general understanding is that this should be addressed in the latest SU4 beta.

    ……and same on the Duke:

Hmm... The registrations are "working" compared to SU3, where they literally would not appear, or the whole area would be a flickering black mess. However, I have never seen a problem like the one you show, in my own testing, or from anyone else. Did you ever make any modifications to the panel.cfg's, when the registrations were more broken? Do you have any 3rd party liveries installed for my aircraft? Give how my custom dynamic registration system works, it should be relatively impossible to get the results you're seeing without modifications, so I'm relatively baffled.

Hi. I am on Xbox, so that hopefully rules out most, if not all, of the possible causes.

I remember the flickering black patches where the registration should appear. I have had these zoomed in registrations from the point at which the previous issue was fixed.

Is this another case of just needing to wait for an update? Is it because I’m on Xbox?

        Many thanks.

Hm. It's still possible that you have another addon that's interfering somehow, though less likely. You could try temporarily disabling everything else in your library. Also, if you're on XBOX, does that mean that you're running my MSFS 2020 aircraft in 2024, since Asobo still hasn't approved our aircraft for the MSFS 2024 marketplace after a couple months? That shoundn't have anything to do with it, but I also haven't tested that scenarios, so I can't say for sure.

Hi. It will be the 2020 version then I’m using in 2024. There was no jiggery-pokery involved, I’m just using whatever version that was automatically made available to me in the game.

Fixing the reg issue was something I was eagerly awaiting (as I like to take external photos and videos of my magnificent fleet - as well as just admire them from every angle), so was shocked to learn this last couple of days my issue with registrations wasn’t common.

I’ll do as you suggest re. disabling everything else and report back!

            Many thanks.

Without trying to be overly dramatic, I dare say that I've been more upset by all these MSFS 2024 issues than any one of my users, as I feel the pain for all of them. Even doing the best I can to provide a usable experience in MSFS 2024, it hurts me every time I see screenshots with something not working the way it should. So sorry you have to deal with this. Just since I've seen this discussed elsewhere recently, at least regarding the SU3 registration issues, the problem was that I created a very custom registration system for my livery creators that allows them to create almost any effect they like. In MSFS 2024, there was something hard coded about the registration system since release that didn't load my code correctly. Luckily, my requests on the developer forum paid off on that one. We'll keep troubleshooting and hopefully find you a solution soon!

I can (almost) imagine the emotions involved! The Black Square planes I have (and others from such like as A2A and Just Flight) literally bring tears to my eyes. They are absolutely stunning and I can never believe just how far we’ve come since playing Solo Flight on my Commodore 64 with dad.

Update. Ive disabled everything in 2024, and re-enabled Starship (which is version 0.1.2). No change, still have zoomed, partial reg on port side, nothing on starboard side.

Hopefully when the update comes through all will be well!

Many thanks - the aeroplanes are absolutely magnificent and already have given me literally 100s of hours of enjoyment (and I’m chomping at the bit to get the Baron and Bonanzas, when we are able to on Xbox).
