This is the major issue as far as I'm concerned, I have to be careful about NOT using ATC for this particular plane, and only this one. Just wondering if a fix is planned, or if we should expect it to stay that way.

For one of my frequent contributors on this forum, I wish I had a more comprehensive answer for you, but... Completely decoupling my flight planner from the native ATC is a big, big, big... big challenge, and not one that I anticipated when I designed Starship's systems. It's entirely possible, but would take at least a two weeks of work plus reviewing with my beta testers.

I know that there are a few of you who find this limiting, but fortunately, it seems to be sparingly few from the feedback I've gotten. My current plan is to develop the new system in an upcoming aircraft, as I usually like to do (that way I don't have to worry about breaking things while moving fast, as the saying goes). Then I will port this back to Starship if it works well. I hope that makes sense. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I don't like there to be any holes like that in my aircraft, but the Asobo flight planner/ATC threw me so many curveballs and CTD's in late development that it was a small miracle Starship happened at all.

I hope you don't find my answer evasive or terribly disappointing. You know how much I love Starship, but I think it would also have be irresponsible to ignore the Professional Series, which I know many owners of the Analog Series for MSFS 2020 are waiting for after they were discovered incompatible with MSFS 2024.

I figured it would be something that would get re-used in multiple aircraft. I would add though, the built-in ATC is most likely to be used by more casual people who will pick up this plane in Marketplace, and they won't know to ask about this issue on the Justflight forums, they might just drop their rating a bit, call it "buggy", or whine about it on Facebook, and move on. I've already seen other people ask about it on other forums. The hard core people who come here tend to scoff at the built-in ATC.
