Editing Waypoints
-
On a recent flight my destination airport had the winds flip 180°, so I needed to change my approach. I needed to delete several WPs and set up a new approach. I expected that this would be fairly easy and expected to see the following screen on the CDU when I went to edit:
However, what I got were two choices: No Change or Erase FPL. I couldn't change anything on the route (when I checked the Approach options, I could delete the current approach and add a new one, but I couldn't delete or insert any WPs prior to that on the original flight plan).
Overall, the importing of the flight plan from the MSFS planner has worked well. The plan that couldn't be updated within the CDU had been adjusted within the Navigraph Charts app and imported into the FS2020 planner prior to importing into the Starship system.
As an experiment, I imported the SimBrief plan directly into FS2020, then added the approach and transition there. When I went into the Starship system I had all of the options you see on the screen shot.
I tested again by using the Navigraph-created FP to see if waypoint-editing would be lost, but this time, editing was also available. I'm at a loss as to why this was not available on the prior flight. Has anyone else been limited as to editing access on any flight plans?
