The external navigation, beacon, and strobe lights are barely visible during daylight; they're fine at dusk, dawn, and night.

Unless you have seen drastically different behavior with other aircraft, I think this is just reality with MSFS 2024. The exterior light intensities are already several times higher than the default aircraft, and with the current version of MSFS 2024, they also generate very unrealistic volumetric effects, which we are trying to get fixed on the developer forums. Unless there is some other setting that I’m unaware of, I’m not sure there is anything I can do.
