Given how problematic MSFS 2024 often still is, I will most likely continue to fly in 2020 for some time. I figure that this is the case for many users still.

I am considering to buy Real Taxiways, but would not like to spend twice the amount to get support for both simulators. Will there be some option which is cheaper than buying them separately? Getting the whole package would currently amount to about 100 € with military airports or close to 70 € without. Otherwise, I will probably wait for MSFS 2024 to fully replace 2020 and only get 2024 at that point ... A "completionist bundle" could probably drive sales a bit in any case.

@bspline Anyone who owns any of the 2020 packages will receive a 25% discount on the respective 2024 offering. And there will be the usual bundle containing USA and Europe content as there was for 2020 which will save newcomers to the party, some money.

@bspline I like the idea of your "completionist bundle". We will discuss this internally and see what we can do. Sometimes there are limitations with the store system that make some bundles technically difficult, or it might seem unfair to some users depending on when/where they bought the products. I'll let you know if it's something that we can make happen. Thanks for your thoughts!

@Black-Square Given the current options I decided to buy the EU+US 2020 bundle for now. It'll probably be hard to offer an upgrade for me apart from a 2024 discount.

If I hadn't bought it yet, I would most likely buy a complete 2020/2024/US/EU/military bundle on release. I would still buy a 2024/US/EU/military bundle more easily, even though I know that I won't use many military airports.

@Voice-of-Reason I did not expect the 2024 version to follow that fast, but here it goes. Now I am just waiting for the 25% discount to become available ... 🙂

@Voice-of-Reason Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case, not even in Junk or Spam folders. I ordered the 2020 bundle just yesterday.

@Black-Square It seems that the wrong manuals are packaged with the current 2020 version: Both US and EU 1.3 folders contain the manual for MSFS 2024. I checked manifest.json in all 4 folders (1.3/2.0, EU/US) and they are as expected. The manuals do have the same size and modication date (2025-08-21 06:43).

@bspline From the looks of it, the packages I sent to Just Flight did not contain any manuals, so I can't say exactly what got packaged later. However, so much has changed since the original release of Real Taxiways, both with the product itself, and with the simulator, that the new manuals are definitely more representative of the current experience than the old manuals. Particularly, there was a lot of information in the old manuals pertaining to custom texture installations and installers that is no longer applicable, and also there was no information about the package reorder tools. If you have any questions that aren't answered in those manuals, please let me know, though.

@Voice-of-Reason I have been looking for the email with the information about discount for the 2020 users, and I have not received. Would you mind resending it? Thank you.

@Black-Square I was mainly trying to check the manuals to see whether there is anything required to be done with the textures in 2020, because that was also mentioned in the 2024 to have been required in 2020.

I did only a quick check at EDLN and it seems that it's also not got major conflicts with Zinertek's "Enhanced Airport Graphics" (maybe one extension will override some markings of the other?) and 4simmers "Enhanced Taxiway Signs" (not sure if these models are still used elsewhere now). Did not see any obvious errors, so no reason to mess with textures for now ...

@bspline Assuming we're talking about the new updated manuals, I added this question to the FAQ:

"Will Real Taxiways signs models/textures interfere with other addons?

There are several other addons that attempt to improve the appearance only of taxiways signs. Real Taxiways is not compatible with these addons, because it requires its own custom taxiway sign textures to create all the enhanced features listed in this manual."

For an expanded answer, Real Taxiways has always required those custom textures to work, since it adds many new types of taxiway signage. In the original 2020 versions, you had make sure these textures were installed separately, while it's done as part of the same package in 2024 (and now also 2020). As long as Real Taxiways has priority over these other packages, its signs will display correctly. However, you can still use any other airport enhancement addons with Real Taxiways, as they will still enhance other aspects of the scenery, just not the taxiway sign textures. I hope that makes sense. I'm happy to help you figure out any compatibility questions you might have.
