Radios tuning - CDU or RTU?

What are folks’ preferences for tuning radios? Personally I use the CDU almost exclusively (I’d rather type than twist) except for setting the xpdr to active and ident.

I am also a fan of the CDU option. It is simply more easy to type in the sim then to scroll. (I guess also in real life)

I despise the stacked twisty knobs in the sim on GNS GPSs (one of the reasons I replace GNSs with GTNs wherever possible), and by extension the RTU. I suspect it's not as big a deal in real life.

I honestly find myself using the RTU for radio tuning more often than the CDU, but I'll use the CDU for the transponder code.

Just a quirk I suppose.

I prefer the CDU method as well. It's quicker and easier, plus if you're entering a nav frequency, you can tune by just typing the nav station's identifier as a handy shortcut. They thought of almost everything in this plane!

I primarily tune in frequencies through the CDU. I notice that it is impossible to input a comms frequency in the recall field.
Not sure if there is perhaps a logic in that, so the RTU and CDU don't "fight" over that field, but if that is the case, I wonder why the yellow arrow still appears - seemingly indicating that the LSK can be used to input the frequency in that field.
