    I'm on the latest version and last night, during a storm, the wipers effects were missing. I know they were present in the original version. If someone could check their sim to see if they still have the effect.

    Thanks.

      Nothing changed anywhere near the wiper effects in the last update, and I just confirmed they are working well for me. If you can catch them not working on your end, please take a screenshot or video. Thank you!

        Thank you for your reply Nick. I had set to rain manually as I wanted to fly a challenging ILS app and I'd set the rain to MAX. I've just tried a precip setting lower and they worked fine. It was just too much rain for the wipers to clear!

        Thanks again.

          Is this something that can be tweaked a little bit, or is it kind of fixed and based on how the stock sim does its thing?

          I was departing for VATVenture yesterday in the rain; during startup it was a light drizzle and intermittent speed cleared the window fine, but by taxi it was a good downpour, but not excessive, and they were ineffective at any speed. It wasn't like they were being cleared and then covered again quickly, they weren't being cleared at all.

          Fortunately it was a short stroll to the runway and the wind did the rest 🙂

            @jmarkows Was this MSFS 2020 or 2024? If 2024, I discovered a very significant reverse compatibility breaking difference in how timed functions are interpreted in MSFS 2024 vs. 2020, which caused what you are describing. It's all fixed for v1.2 now.

              @Black-Square 24. I didn't realize you had a workaround for doing it in 2020.

                Okay, that's good, and means it will be fixed soon. Yes, the windshield wiper effects are of my own design. Unfortunately, I think they work a little better visually in 2020 than 2024, but at least you will be able to clear rain after I discovered that very reverse compatibility breaking difference.
