I think there is difference, like modelling is optimized differently, also some other visual things like the registration numbers are different. I would think also in the background logic you would find some optimization differences. The MSFS2024 has click spots in walkaround mode. I would say you should use the corresponding version of the plane for your sim. Also, both installers available when you buy it.

Oh yeah you're right. I was thinking more along the lines of systems or something deeper. I'm still new to MSFS so I forgot about the walkaround stuff
