Sitting in cockpit at cruise. Realize I am way too old to learn all the stuff thrown at me.
Then start to get flashback from ancient times.
When not in use, a good practice was to turn down intensity on CRT to avoid burn-in ghost images. If you are older, you remember those gray spots on TV caused by damaged phosphors. Occurred at areas with a static text or image.
And - yes - upper left corner on CRTs you find a knob to turn down intensity.

A simulation is not complete without CRT kept at max over time - will cause burn in ghost images.
