GNS430 switches off when toggling it as source

When I switch from the FMS to GNS as AP NAV SRC, the GNS 430 switches of and reboots. It seems like that's not supposed to happen. Anyone experienced the same?

That is the reality of how I implemented it, I'm afraid. Other 3rd party GPS systems offer variables to toggle their autopilot systems live, but the WT GNS's do not. You shouldn't lose any data entry, though. Once it's entered, it should be there after the quick restart.

I've tried it only once yet but after I entered the departure in the GNS and then switched the Nav source just before departure the GNS flightplan was lost after the reboot

I also lost the flightplan on switching.

I think mine was gone too if I remember correctly

I also loose the data. Tried switching between them and every time data was gone.

Here as well, I lose everything when switching. On a side note, is it possible to feed the MFD from the GNS so the route is displayed?
