Simbrief / LittleNavMap flight plan import?
-
Is there a Little NavMap profile yet?
@Marionettework
I don't believe so, but LNM does monitor your flights. It keeps track of fuel burn during a flight and adjusts your block fuel. After a few flights, the block fuel it calculates for a given flight becomes very accurate.
Not sure if it works on the Starship though. I will surely try that on my next flight..........and don't call me surely. -
Hi, there is a way to load flightplans. Open the freeware PMS GTN 2d window, load a flightplan and it's right there in the starship. Also with SID and STARS.
@Jan-Nek Do you think you could upload a video of this process for me? I had the idea that I might be able to do something similar a while ago and made a few notes, but I ran out of time to explore before release, since I figured it would open a can of worms.

Hi no problem, just give me some time until Sunday morning (London time), we have the whole family visiting and everyone wants to have a wine with me
I wanted to cancel the party because of the starship release, but my wife had strong arguments against it.
But I have to say thank you here again, such a great plane. -

Wow, cant wait to try this on my next flight.
Thank you so much!!! -
I haven't tried the PMS method in Starship yet, but for anyone who doesn't already know, this method works in a number of aircraft that don't accept a flight plan from the default tablet export, it comes in pretty handy.

@Black-Square So I use simbrief within the sim to load the flightplan easily for ATC...It seems to be doing some sort of load into the Starship? In this example it's not quite right (looks like it's kept an approach but dropped most of the enroute?) I had some weirdness during this ferry flight initially with waypoint sequencing but I just put that down to me being on SU3 at the time and inexperienced with the systems...Anyway I've done a video if the process I do and the result, so let us know if this is what you expect or if this might be the cause of weirdness and I need to stop using Simbrief for now? Cheers James

Thank you for the video. I will come back to this when things are settled with Starship and I've done the updates for my other aircraft. I would like to add this convenience feature, but since this isn't something I know much about, I wanted to see how you guys would use the aircraft first, so I could tailor the solution to that.
In the meantime, I absolutely expect that imported flight plan to cause weirdness! I think simple flight plans with only airports/navaids will probably work, but anything with approaches, sids, stars, or anything else is probably not going to go well.

@Black-Square OK Nick thanks, I'll stop doing that with the Starship
