Bonanza - DTK Auto Sync - Localizer
-
I have DTK Auto Sync enabled in the PMSS50 GTN750. When activating an ILS VTF apch, the CDI switches from GPS to NAV1, but I am having to manually adjust the CDI's CRS after the switch. Is the auto sync limited to GPS in terms of CRS sync, or should I see it adjust to the crs for the localizer?
Thanks for any guidance.

The course pointer on the KI 525A HSI is not motorized, and should not move at all, unless rotated via the course select knob. Some GPS developers offer methods for aircraft developers to prevent this automatic alignment of the course pointer when it's not realistic, while others do not.

Both can be accessed by the native variables and events:
A:NAV OBS:1, degrees >K:VOR1_OBI_INC >K:VOR1_OBI_DEC -
You have me thinking regarding the KI 525A. Someone who is spending that much money on an aircraft equipped w/ a GTN750, RA, tip tanks, etc. is almost certainly going to invest in an CDI that has a motor and auto-aligns to the next leg in the GPS flight plan, do you agree? My understanding of what you are saying is the KI 525 doesn't have a motor for CRS changes, therefore you have to set it on every turn along a GPS FP in the actual aircraft?
This seems to be even more of a question in my mind for someone investing in a (to-be) turbo prop kit. So if my understanding is correct, then do you have a different course deviation indicator instrument for the professional version coming soon?
I'm not going to ask you "how soon" as I'm sure you get that all to often currently.
Thanks for your perspective.

I am now flying the B36T. I still shake my head about needing to manually twist the needle after every waypoint on the GPS flight plan, if I'm using TDS GTN750Xi. I just want to check in as it's been a year since the above dialog - is there still no way for the aircraft's HSI to automatically follow the GPS flight plan? Just can't get over someone who would invest in a turbo-prop and the surrouding technology, and not have the equipment to reduce pilot workload, keeping the eyes outside of the aircraft as much as possible. Just wanted to ensure I wasn't missing anything.
TDS benefits: includes the IF in the transition list for RNAV's with no feeders (ex: KSMO RNAV 21, PMSS does not show DARTS, TDS (correctly) does.
PMSS benefits: allows me to DTK sync to simulate having the equipment that can follow the GPS flight plan.
