No traffic at arrival airport

@jsid87 They stay under the sandbox, they have taken our money, now they are gone, they have not stood by what they have promised. So those of us who have bought unfortunately lost the money. Last update was 2 weeks ago.
That's a bit melodramatic, isn't it? JF are NOT the type of developers to "abandon" their customers. They are working on the next update and we just have to be patient, as frustrating as it is.

@bpfonteyn How hard can it be to just inform everyone how far they have come with the update? Information they should be clear.
Yes, it would be nice to have more clarity on the progress of any impending update. However, I still feel that your rant was over the top.

@bpfonteyn I think he has right to be little upset I am too. Because I feel like lately a lot of developers put out half done software and they fix it along the way if they don't disappear. I know that eventually justflight developers will fix this software but again most people have other responsibilities in life and not helping developers to fix bugs in their software. I think that in sim world there are lately a lot of rushed projects that are put out.

Part of the problem with forums is that discussion on threads is rarely cross referenced. I have, personally, lost track of where we wrote it, but we have advised that we are currently working on the second update for FS Traffic. This is focusing, mainly, on arrivals. As you can see from this thread, pinning down what may cause an issue for some users and not others is not that straightforward.
We are hoping to test the latest batch of updates over the weekend and, if all goes well, release something next week. -
Not sure if this thread is still about no traffic at arrival airport, but I now experience this more often which is really annoying to arrive at a host airport (even though I set everything correctly). Hope this can get fixed soon!

Yes, you’re in the right place. Many people are having the same issue. JF are working on it. In fact, just a couple of posts above Derek of JF explained that the next update is working around arrivals. All being well JF hope to have the update out next week.
-
JF will solve the problems. It makes no sense bringing small updates over and over again.
For a lot of users, FST doesn't work correctly because of other 3th part stuff or whatever. JF is looking on this, i am sure. At the moment FSLTL is the best way to go.
Again. If you have healthy ears, don't mix FST with FSLTL. Because the sound is bugged! If you don't care about sounds, than try it.

@steve67 I can confirm this works (entered destination in MSFS, then start flight, open FS Toolbar, wait few seconds, destination ICAO appears, close). I did NOT press confirm.
Hat a full EBBR when arriving.
Sure this will get fixed with the next update (or hopeful…)
-
@balzbac Excellent!
I did a little flight from Philadelphias KPHL into D.C.s KDCA. I did the same as you, but no traffic on arrival this time (even >5000ft & >250kts) :-(
I don't know what I messed up this time!
Think I have to live with that until the next update. We'll see (and hope!). -
Is there any way you guys could release it as a beta? I don't always have traffic at the destination airport either. And so I could say whether it works for me or not.
Best regards -

Best regardsI wouldn’t want them to release a patch as a beta. We had beta testers for the main game itself. That didn’t seem to stop even the most blatant of issues. So I’d rather they released the patch when it’s ready for full release.

@steve67 Did Brussels to Zurich: Did everything the same except that when I landed in Zurich: Empty! No wait… there was 1 Iberia A320… really weird as until a few days ago everything worked „well“ i.e. full destination airports)… also unclear how traffic gets spawned and how the destination confirm thing works and how the en-route traffic works… questions… waiting keenly for the update as I think has potential.

Do you think this might have something to do with having rolling cache, on or off settings. ie if it's on, does that stored info muck up what happens when we fly into the destination and how FStraffic wants to inject traffic

Have you tried it with cache on and off?

first I left it on, but cleared it out, flew into KBOS plenty of aircraft. I then turned it off and flew into KBOS again, only a couple of aircraft. Then repeated both options, with it on, next time no traffic, with it off, no traffic. So it's still not the answer, it's always hit or miss for me, sometimes it works, other times no. I'm very tired of it now, I reckon I've done more testing of it than the beta guys ever did. hopefully the promised patch they say is due out this week will work

snort of derision :grinning_squinting_face:
We're all hoping for a patch this week. I can quite imagine it's been quite a stressful time in JF HQ since the release of Traffic. Hopefully before the release of Kerbal Space Program 2 (EA) on Friday. :grinning_cat_face:
