No traffic at arrival airport

Not sure if this thread is still about no traffic at arrival airport, but I now experience this more often which is really annoying to arrive at a host airport (even though I set everything correctly). Hope this can get fixed soon!

Yes, you’re in the right place. Many people are having the same issue. JF are working on it. In fact, just a couple of posts above Derek of JF explained that the next update is working around arrivals. All being well JF hope to have the update out next week.

When not using toolbar but Traffic Control Center: Do you leave the TCC program open during the flight?
JF will solve the problems. It makes no sense bringing small updates over and over again.
For a lot of users, FST doesn't work correctly because of other 3th part stuff or whatever. JF is looking on this, i am sure. At the moment FSLTL is the best way to go.
Again. If you have healthy ears, don't mix FST with FSLTL. Because the sound is bugged! If you don't care about sounds, than try it.

I did some testflights tonight and finally I got it to work some how to get traffic at my destination!!!
The problem before was, that the in game toolbar ist not working at all on my system!
I got traffic at my destination when I do the follwoing things:- plan the flight with(!) destination in MSFS
or - using traffic control centre without the toolbar
Conclusion:
Don't use the toolbar!!!
Don't press confirm in toolbar!!!Downside of all this:
I was not able to change my destination during or after my flight!
Either with the toolbar (as I said it doesn't work for me at all!) nor with traffic control centre.
Traffic was always still at my first destination.So dont't play around, just set your destination before flight and life with that. Then you (might) have traffic at your destination.
I thought we would by more flexible :-(
I still don't understand the philosphy and the mechanics behind all this, but maybe after a few fixes we get what we expected.

Hat a full EBBR when arriving.

I did a little flight from Philadelphias KPHL into D.C.s KDCA. I did the same as you, but no traffic on arrival this time (even >5000ft & >250kts) :-(
I don't know what I messed up this time!
Think I have to live with that until the next update. We'll see (and hope!). -
Is there any way you guys could release it as a beta? I don't always have traffic at the destination airport either. And so I could say whether it works for me or not.

Best regardsI wouldn’t want them to release a patch as a beta. We had beta testers for the main game itself. That didn’t seem to stop even the most blatant of issues. So I’d rather they released the patch when it’s ready for full release.

Think I have to live with that until the next update. We'll see (and hope!).@steve67 Did Brussels to Zurich: Did everything the same except that when I landed in Zurich: Empty! No wait… there was 1 Iberia A320… really weird as until a few days ago everything worked „well“ i.e. full destination airports)… also unclear how traffic gets spawned and how the destination confirm thing works and how the en-route traffic works… questions… waiting keenly for the update as I think has potential.

Do you think this might have something to do with having rolling cache, on or off settings. ie if it's on, does that stored info muck up what happens when we fly into the destination and how FStraffic wants to inject traffic

We're all hoping for a patch this week. I can quite imagine it's been quite a stressful time in JF HQ since the release of Traffic. Hopefully before the release of Kerbal Space Program 2 (EA) on Friday. :grinning_cat_face:

So we are what....30+ days in. Still no aircraft at arrival airport. I'll see aircraft at departure and like 30 minutes after I'll see aircraft arriving at my departure....sometimes. I'll see the occasional aircraft enroute...but I never see aircraft landing or taxing and barely ever at a gate at my destination airport....STILL. It's getting a little frustrating. I've put in a ticket quite awhile ago and given the required data asked for and haven't heard back since. Sigh. I do like me JF products but this one is more frustrating than the norm.

Totally understand your frustration. We are equally frustrated. FST worked fine for our large testing group and is also working for most users. It would have been impossible to release a traffic program that had no arrival traffic. But, it is clear that some users are getting a different experience to others and, for them, it is a traffic program with no traffic! We are working hard to nail whatever it is that causing these isolated problems with arrival traffic and thank you for completing the log for us. These logs are helping to find a common denominator and the latest build of an update is being tested at the moment.

I do understand your frustration. I too rarely get any arrival traffic, nor enroute traffic.
I sometimes get both when flying into EGLC, with the latter, enroute traffic, only being heard as I approach London.
Really wanting to keep JF Traffic installed, but as each day passes without a fix it’s becoming harder not to uninstall it and write it off as a wasted purchase. Simple Traffic is by no means the best traffic software, but at least it had plenty of enroute traffic and traffic at destination airports (and no “ghost airports”). 😢

I do understand your frustration. I too rarely get any arrival traffic, nor enroute traffic.

Really wanting to keep JF Traffic installed, but as each day passes without a fix it’s becoming harder not to uninstall it and write it off as a wasted purchase.
