V1.1.2.0 is broken
-
@Capt-Quirk
Your 1.1.2.0 installation also gave error of a missing bgl file? and then you manually compile the 3 files? it works well after that?
Thanks and a Happy New Year! -
@stavka
No, I didn't get the missing file error stavka, but I have noticed that the airline traffic file that has peviously been Traffic_Global_Airlines.bgl is now named TrafficGlobal_AI.bgl
I only managed to compile airline/GA/cargo traffic by doing each one individually and each took a very long time to compile.
If I tried to do all 3 at once, the program appeared to hang at compiling GA but, who knows, it might have finished given time. I gave up after 25 mins.
As others have noted, I too get less traffic when the slider is further to the right (ironically, for 'more traffic')
There are more than a few new gremlins in these last 2 versions, it seems.
Hope you & your family have a very happy (and a lot less stressful) 2021, stavka!! -
WOWOW
I redownloaded again the TG and it says 1.1.2.0 BUT with a tiny difference in exe size. So i installed and for my great and big surprise the installation (including wizard) NOT gave me any error!!! And the main window on TG app says correctly 1.1.2.0!
So, Thanks JF and TG dev team for the update and fix :)
I'm so happy, now my P3D finally is not empty! -
Update. Ryan air is still there but just as rare as a virgin a380. I seen one or 2 Ryan air now when they should really be flooding airports like east jet.
Maybe cut half the easy jet and gove half to Ryan air as of they added full Ryan air now I never be able.to get a landing with out go arounds. -
@stavka
Glad to hear that it's finally working ok for you!Even though I'd downloaded it on three separate occassions already mine was still saying v1.1.1.9, so thanks to your post, I've just downloaded yet again and it is indeed now finally giving the correct version!
Also, I am happy to say that the compilation process completed using these settings (ie: compiling all 3 traffic types at the same pass):
Just as a check to prove to myself that compilation of all 3 completed successfully:
TrafficGlobal_AI.bgl default 14.1Mb compiled 15.3Mb
TrafficGlobalCargo.bgl default 2.55Mb compiled 2.86Mb
TrafficGlobalGA.bgl default 6.35Mb compiled 8.17MbThis time, I excercised a bit more patience and waited for the GA to get around to finishing:
AI completed @ 6m20
Cargo completed @ 7m44
GA completed @ 19m16so it took a little under 20 minutes to compile them all [i7 6700k@4.6GHz Win10x64 FSX-SE].

@Capt-Quirk
Have they now done away with My AI Flights compiler in the latest version.

@Capt-Quirk
That`s the My AI Flights creator not the compiler that must be run top box in my 1.1.1.9 version in my screenshot, -
@Ray-Fry
I can see what you mean, Ray.
The 'Database Selection' box is indeed missing but, isn't the compilation now accomplished by ticking the 'Include MyAI Flights' box in the compilation options (second pic on my reply)? -
@Ray-Fry
It certainly doesn't seem to be improving much. In fact, I think someone's thrown it into reverse! Ah well, I guess you, I and umpteen other early adopters/testers have had nothing better to do with our time over the past (almost) 3 years!
Shame, it had such potential........:slightly_frowning_face:
Maybe it'll improve when they port it over to FS2020 .......:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes: -
Looks like, when you compile My AI now, the flights are included in Traffic_Global_AI rather than a separate bgl.

@Ray-Fry said in V1.1.2.0 is broken:
i get the feeling JF are taking the same route as Aerosoft who have said they are no longer supporting FSX or P3D no future, and only interested in MSFS.
That'll be the JF that has just released a 146 for P3D, an update for Traffic Global (P3D); is releasing an X-Plane version of the 146 soon and has a P3D 747, P3D 146RJ and P3D A300 in development also due for release. That JF?

@Derek
Are we talking products that were already in development and will now be ported to MSFS.'Ported'? I admire your optimism. The new game is likely to require more than just 'porting' and what we commission/develop for it it will really depend on what the add-on market looks like from a commercial point of view. Up to now there have been plenty of airports but precious little in the way of study level aircraft.
Still, if it helps to build the narrative, you can speculate all you want. -
@Ray-Fry said in V1.1.2.0 is broken:
Funny you have an aircraft in development that`s available for P3D for MSFS.
Funny peculiar or funny ha ha?
We are working on a PA-28 for MSFS but we have six other titles of far more complexity in development for P3D and X-Plane. Until such time as it is possible to make complex aircraft for the new game, very few serious developers are likely to be abandoning P3D or X-Plane just yet. FSX, though, is unlikely to see any significant development from us in the future - although that was the case before MSFS came out as the divergence from P3D had become too great.
