FMS waypoint sequencing is not working (or I don't know what I'm doing)

I'm having an issue with the FMS in the Starship. I entered a flight plan, and everything looks correct on the CDU and the MFD. I also got to the first waypoint without issue, but when the waypoint sequenced, the new waypoint name appeared at the top of the ND, CDU and MFD, but the HSI line started jumping sideways every few seconds, and the distance is counting up, even as I am approaching the waypoint. It seems like it isn't sequencing correctly. Is there something I missed in the manual, or is this a bug? Anyone experienced something similar?

Not entirely sure what the issue is to be honest, but the AMS-850 has a lot of features and modes that could possibly be causing confusion. In System control ( SYS CTRL) page in the fms. Do you have Auto leg selected?
