START CONT CB should silence the fuel select warning
-
It's been a loooong time since I've been in the cockpit of a Caravan but one thing I do remember was the irritating warning when power was on that could be silenced by pulling the START CONT breaker. I don't know if it's SOP to do it, but we were taught to do that while refueling a particular Caravan equipped with single point refueling and required being in the cockpit with power on to fuel. I'd really love if this were functional so I could leave the fuel selectors off during preflight, particularly on uneven surfaces.
I did double check myself and I found this note in the emergency procedures section of the POH:
"START CONT AND/OR FUEL SELECT WARN CIRCUIT
BREAKER(S) TRIPPED (Red FUEL SELECT OFF CAS
MSG)NOTE
With either the START CONT or FUEL SELECT WARN
Circuit Breaker tripped, the Red FUEL SELECT OFF CAS
MSG will be displayed and the FUEL SELECT WARNING
HORNS will be inoperative."
