fluctuation in sound volume

I did had some wired sound issue today. During cruise flight the engine sound did somehow change in volume.
Was flying in autopilot therefor I did not touch any controlls. In non repeating time frames the sound of engine did increase and decrease.
It was not that the RPM did change it was more like a cange in overall volume.Has anyone experianced the same issue?

Do you have the "loudness limiter" enabled in MSFS 2024? From the best I can tell, it exists only to generate confusion and queries such as this.

I was not even aware that this limiter exists. Will check and disable it.

EDIT: It was not the limiter inside the sim. This one was off. But it looks like something along the same setting inside windows seems to have caused the issue. It is related to redcued sound when comms are used. Default was reduce sound to 80% when comms in use. Something must have triggerd this.
Did an extensive flight without issues now. Thx again
