I cannot start the engine C208

I'm really unsure what I'm doing wrong as most of the time I cannot start the engine, sometimes it's just fine, but mostly not.
I'm following online procedure and videos going through step by step.
It's not that it's that difficult to do but what I see is that the engine appears to start but then the fuel flow 'bounces' between 0 to 1 on the gauge resulting in the engine just not starting.
I don't see any other problems and have configured the Bravo etc with all appropriate axis, I cannot see anything wrong.
Coupled to this it has started (rarely) under this configuration but feel it's something I'm doing rather than some config issue.
I've configured many other planes with no issues like this.
Has anyone have any thought that may help out?

Forgive me if this seems too obvious, but have you checked the engine condition on the tablet interface?
