I had a similar problem before release, but I guess I missed one. Fixed now. Thanks.

@SadBucket said in RNAV/VNAV with Commander 114: @rinkerbuck In this instance I believe the way you want it to be configured in your aircraft irl. what are you trying to say here?

@SebAvi Well, ISA temperature at FL180 is -21°C, so we know the density altitude is higher by approximately 2,000 ft. That means performance started to degrade at a density altitude of more like 16,000 ft, which I think is reasonable for a turbocharger installation of this nature. However, in my own testing the other day, I didn't see any loss of performance until between 17,000 and 18,000 ft.

@Downwind I find I need right rudder myself. The ball is certainly not centered on takeoff

@Truffoff Yes, it will. We wait until v1.1 is released to address any initial bugs and add quality of life features. After you see v1.1 released, then the schedule is up to Asobo.

Is the B58TC already accurate as it relates to Fuel/Mixture? It seems to me that may be the case.

Yes, that is intentional. We removed the tutorial flight files from our aircraft packages in order to comply with some MSFS Marketplace requirements. The manuals likely do still refer to the tutorial flight files, and it is something we have logged to get corrected the next time the manuals get updated. The old tutorial flight files simply loaded the aircraft at the location stated in the tutorial flight; they didn't affect the aircraft systems in any way. So as long as a flight is loaded at the departure airport stated in the manual, it'll still be possible to complete the tutorial flight in full. Mark - Just Flight

@Voxen strange. The click spots on both sides work for me turning the ANC up and down.

@vliah There's a clickspot below the red "feather" label on the throttle quadrant to show/hide all the levers. You have an interesting suggestion. I haven't heard anyone else complain about this, because I guess they must have dual lever inputs. Unfortunately, overriding hardware inputs is always a decision made very carefully as a developer, because the last thing I would want is someone jumping in the airplane for the first time and not being able to get their hardware propeller levers to work for some reason. I'll think about if there is any other way to do this, though. Sometimes it takes few days, but I might come up with something when I least expect it. Thanks for the suggestion! I can definitely see how it would be helpful for some hardware.

Thanks Nick! I have guessed a limitation of approx. 15% but I will try with a quarter. I assume that one quarter tank is meant as one quarter of the main tanks which is 15.5 gallons, or approx. 104lbs/47kg (Jet-A).

+1 to this - I also have the "other" one, and while it scratches an itch - a BlackSquare version with all that entails, would blow the other one out of the water. Something about the Avantis have always appealed to me, but sadly have never had a super high quality one in the sim that also functions to the level I'd hoped.

@Marionettework It should work, though I can hardly say it would provide you with realistic ATC. Best free option is VATSIM for sure (and only option for myself as SayIntentions and BeyondATC are both quite unrealistic...). If it's just general ATC that you want it should work with the starship fine as it relies on Simbrief.

@intjmastermind I agree with @Marionettework and @AvApollo. The avionics in the Starship are coded the way the plane is and currently flown IRL. It is technically still possible to fly it IFR utilizing RNAV as the primary Nav Source. the VNAV page can be utilized to help achieve the correct rate of climb or descent needed to avoid having to level off for an altitude restriction. Also manually keying in fix-by-fix waypoints for SIDS and STARs is how it's done on the GNS 430/530 and many other common GPS units commercially today. Though IRL turboprops and smaller aircraft usually don't fly on the same procedures as larger airliners at all and are commonly vectored in (*depends on the airport). I usually only ever file direct IFR in real life unless it's a longer route or a Mandatory/Preferred IFR Route in the flight supplement exists. *Note: Simbrief works best when used for airliners and will consistently provide you with a SID or STAR meant for turbojet aircraft only (Not turboprop). Sometimes turboprop SIDs and STARs exist, so it's best to look up the available procedures before starting the flight (if you're trying to be realistic). If none exist, then expect to be vectored and if planning to stay IFR, brief yourself on the minimum IFR altitudes to be sure of adequate terrain clearance.

I purchased it from Just Flight. I did try the mod approach and it did not take. I'll take a look at that thread. Thank you.

No it's not sufficient. You have to engage the AP Master if it's not already on, and then activate set heading mode variable. With mobiflight it's working well this way, using only one hardware button. .

@Ratman I don’t really see this coming. I really think it is a detriment to continue to support MSFS2020. There is no walk around mode in 2020 anyway and the only way it could be a thing is if you click it in 3rd person and that would cause way more problems than it would be worth. It’s harder to support 2 sims and I think 2024 is actually more stable than 2020 right now. If you have the internet speed to support it I would absolutely make the jump if not, I would absolutely make yourself heard about a need for an offline mode in the MSFS forums because I think that is the only thing keeping people on 2020.
