Hello,
Sorry in advance for this flood of requests but I recently started flying the TBM and I always have a lot to complain about... please don't take the critic to hard, overall the TBM is awesome!// RVSM Certification
I'd love to see a RVSM Capable TBM added in the future. For Operating in RVSM Airspace you need two seperate RVSM capable altimeters. According to the TBM850 Manual only the AM250 is certified for that in the TBM so you need two of them, which many real world TBM's actually have.//Autopilot discrepancies
- Pressing the Autopilot "Test" Button should iluminate all lights on the KMC321 and "Trim" should flash. When completed the "AP" annunciator should flash and a tone should be played.
- Engaging Go Around Mode should disengage the AP
- In Cruise flight the autopilot always conquers crosswind with a dropped wing. Shouldn't it increase the crab angle to keep wings level? This even happens at low wind speeds like 15kt. Furthermore it can't seem to stay on course but always ends up like 1/2nm on the downwind side
//Panel States
I'd really appreciate if you could change some default (Apron) switch positions to reflect the real life operating procedures:- Tank Selector Off
- Prop Governor Feather
- Fan Flow Auto
- Shadin Engine Monitor Page to Fuel Flow
- Rudder Trim in Takeoff Position instead of Neutral
(6. It would be cool if the OAT Indicator could save the Unit)
//Miscellaneous
- It would be cool if there was some clickspot for the Overspeed Governor Test... it's kinda annoying having to look down on takeoff. Either a clickspot on the Panel or maybe even support for a keybind would be very appreciated
- It would be cool if you could add Window Shades and Tray Table animation.
- The "Starter" Annunciator should flash during both Advisory Panel Tests.
- It would be cool to see more features added to the EFS40 especially the different Navigation Map modes. This is a bigger one but stuff like ARC Nav Map (with WX) would be very useful.
All the information I have is from the TBM850 manual but feel free to correct me if something is wrong.
I know the TBM is an old product and I'm expecting a lot but it would be cool if it could receive some love.Kind Regards,
Jannik S. -

Jannik S.@Jannik-Stein Glad to hear you've been enjoying the aircraft. I always know that these comments come from a place of appreciation, since, if you had not been enjoying the aircraft, you wouldn't care about the fine details

As I was saying to someone yesterday, I unfortunately cannot delay my next updates any further. I actually gave the TBM its final test run last night before publishing the next update. I literally just added the low hanging fruit from your list, including the starter annunciator, go-around button, autopilot test, and some of the default startup states.
I am reminded, however, of why I do not have the propeller levers default to feather in any of my aircraft. There is a bug in MSFS where the generator RPM is erroneously connected to the propeller RPM instead of the accessory gearbox RPM in free turbine aircraft. This means that users less familiar with the aircraft could likely experience an electrical failure after draining the battery while sitting with the propeller in feather after starting. However, the startup configuration will now be in your control, since I've added full state saving to the aircraft.
I hope that's a good start! Always happy to hear if you have any more thoughts.

@Black-Square thank you very much for your response. I was a bit afraid the product was too old to care about but I'm glad you proved different and I'm looking forward to the update

Nick, while it's certainly not your place to fix underlying simulation bugs, isn't that similar to the electrical issues (perhaps resolved, I've lost track) plaguing the Caravan Professional at launch?

@jmarkows I actually haven't heard anyone encounter this issue online since my Analog King Air. The Caravan issues were due to bafflingly different inheritance behavior with the aircraft projects across three different versions and platforms of MSFS.

@Black-Square there was an issue right after startup, perhaps with the props feathered, where electrical output was too low.
I'll have to go digging around the forums.
