First of all - great release & first patch!

I have stumbled upon a few posts where people were doing some mods to bring digital instruments into the Black Square addons and I am really hopeful that you'd be willing to make this a reality by either allowing those mods as supported / not blocked by copyright mods, or even better - adding those options(g3x, g5, etc) as a out-of-the box feature over a few updates. I'm talking about:

    • https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFlightSim/comments/1sbhepa/keep_searching_for_glass_cockpit_options/

It seems to be doable by the community, and in my opinion, having the option of adding G3X or modern HSI/horizon would be a huge boost in immersion as this is exactly how many of the planes across your amazing fleet are now flying.

    Hopefully - thank you 🙂

@Meandgolly Analog is flyable but for modern IFR flying glass increases situational awareness by a lot. It makes flying easier and safer.

If a glas cockpit would be the only option I would pass on this one. Sorry no fan of glas cockpits.

I would also really like to see either a G3X or G1000 integration - would be great since there are also many real world operators using these setups.

I do agree we need have option to choose from analog to glass cockpit as we have with GPS units.

@RealPax Why would you think it would be the only option, when the plane already exists with other options? I'm also not a fan of glass, but I support people having the choice when available.

An option doesn't hurt anyone. I'd love the glass cockpit suite.

I'd personally love that and even pay extra for the modern variants. It would have been a fantastic improvement over the default C208B and I don't really see the existence of an optional(!) G1000 variant as a threat to what Blacksquare is all about (which is steam gauge first).

Probably the only "threat" would be the time spent implementing it vs working on updates & new toys lol

@RPGamerous I do not know what you mean. I only expressed my point of view, that if it would be the only option I would not buy it.
Not more or less. This is just my point of view. I did also not say it should not happen. Not sure where you read this in my comment?

Anyhow I can say this a bit more clear if you like: I do not care if there is a glass cockpit or not as long as there is also a steam gauges variant.

@RPGamerous I mean yeah, I agree, especially that it would technically be the only variant with an actual 3d cockpit differences. As I said, I don't believe it would ever take any priority over the steam gauge variants - but it would be definitely a super cool backlog item reserved for whenever Nick has time in between the major releases 🙂
