Hi! When operating the elevator trim, I’m missing the characteristic "clacking" of the yoke’s elevator trim switch, since the MSFS keybind only uses the trim wheel. Is there a way to bind the elevator trim to the yoke switch natively in the sim, or would I need to use a third-party tool like AxisAndOhs for that?

This can easily be done natively. Please watch Youtube tutorials for setting up key-binds.

Does the electric elevator trim actually use electricity in the Caravan? Does that show on the amp meter? That would be a reason for me to change the bindings from the trim wheel to the yoke switch for further immersion.

@SadBucket I'm well aware how to set up keybinds...my question was if there is a specific one for the elec elevator trim. Back in the day devs used tricks like assigning "G1000 Button 1" for "Elec Elevator Trim Up" for example.

@Outermarker I completely misinterpreted the question, my bad. Unfortunately, I am not the right person for the question.

@Zacke I also would also like to know the answer to this question.

I don't see any way to bind the elevator trim switch natively in the sim, and I also can't find a way to bind it with Axis and Ohs. Watching sim events through AaO, it appears pushing the trim switch with a mouse click activates the same sim events as using the trim wheel. The only thing I can find in the Behaviors inspector that differentiates the trim switch is for animating it. Otherwise all I see is that the switch activates K:ELEVATOR_TRIM_SET, which is also activated by the trim wheel.

It's possible there's a way to do it via an RPN script (which you'd also need external software for) but I don't know how.

My coding years are far behind me, so maybe (hopefully) someone else can pop into this thread and tell us I'm wrong.
