Good morning. New to the forum however long time JF and Black Square user.

I decided to pull the starship out and use it in 2024. I have found if I program a flight plan in the 430 (for rnav approaches etc). and I switch to the GNS feature in the cdu, it will erase my flight plan on the 430, causing me to scramble and put it back in again. Not sure if this is a Black Square issue or a Asobo doing asobo issue.

Welcome to the forum 🙂 Unfortunately, this is related to other flight plan persistence problems with the WT GNS in my other aircraft. I've asked Working Title to look into this a few times, and I've spent a significant amount of time trying to rewrite their code myself to present as a fix to them. It has to do with their hot-swapping implementation, but unfortunately, I think their priorities are just elsewhere right now with MSFS 2024. Sorry you have to deal with that issue. In my other aircraft, there is a workaround using the PMS50 GTN to load the flight plan, but obviously this isn't an option in Starship.

@sleeveless I highly recommend using the Starship without the 430 unit. Way more rewarding and fun imo, I also find the WT units buggy in 2024. See u on discord 🤙

@Black-Square Thanks for getting back to me! I assumed you knew about this already. Yea, I use the GTN in everything else. (and the KLN 90 when im feeling frisky). I figured it was a wt issue. Thank you again!

@SadBucket I do fly predominantly without the 430, however if I am flying a rnav departure or arrival, it comes in handy.
Especially an intercept of a radial of a waypoint.
