C208 Caravan!
-
@Black-Square , Have there been any thoughts on adding digital AH/DI? Such as an ASPEN unit for example?
-
Every day I wake up and check the JF page for the Caravan release, and every day I resign myself to another day at the office with no Caravan.
-
@jmarkows informed assessment or just a wild guess?

Me too!
@daspub countdown begins

While filling out the Navigraph survey last night, I looked at my list of top aircraft that, much like Nick has a Beech problem, I have a Black Square problem.
I just splurged for a full set of Winwing 737 peripherals and I'm finding myself in the Starship and thinking about the Bonanza, Dukes, and TBM.

@Cristi because these planes you actually fly. Those others you manage the systems
-
Nah, you can fly the bigger things too. In fact, you should, to keep your skills sharp. Too many sim pilots are AP on at 500 and off and 500, and when they get on places like VATSIM it shows.
But you're definitely closer to the machine in these little GA tubs. Kind of like driving a manual.

@jmarkows smaller the plane, lesser the power, more the skills required to maneuver around a difficult terrain. Sure one can handfly a tubeliner, but wheres the fun when its engines put it into god mode against mother nature

I wish Nick branched out into radial engines.
Imagine a golden age propliner like a DC-3, or a DC-6 developed by someone who cares about their products.
Best of both worlds and the sim doesn't have nearly enough of them. Few things are as satisfying as the proper care and feeding of four P&W Double Wasps.

@jmarkows i couldn’t agree more. Even a dhc2 from Blacksquare will be a boon to mankind. I really hope Nick takes up some radial someday

@jmarkows Radials are cool and definitely a big step up, but if Nick will ever go this route, he should ditch the engine health in percentages and implement a proper wear and tear per cylinder just like A2A, I think it's the only way to make them justice.

. I might have a problem lol. Have a feeling the Caravan is going to add to these numbers!
