There seems to be several issues with the aircraft lighting in 2024 (on Xbox at least).

All work perfectly well in 2020, but in 2024 issues include:

    • The “Lights Master” switch doesn’t seem to do anything (in 2020 it activated the instrument backlighting).

    • The “Bar” switch does light up green when pressed but otherwise doesn’t seem to do anything.

    • The “Cabin Ohead” and “Cabin Aisle” switches don’t illuminate green when pressed and don’t seem to activate any lighting.

Apologies if these have been mentioned elsewhere - I’ve not seen any mention of these issues as yet. Would be good to know if it’s just me!?

    Amazing aeroplane BTW! Many thanks.

      1. Did you try the lighting master switch during the day, or at night? I know that sounds like a silly question, but all lights in MSFS 2024 are almost completely unnoticeable except in nighttime hours.

      2. The bar light is inside of a refreshments cabinet that is not openable.

      3. I can take a look if you like, but if memory serves, those two cabin lights will not operate unless several buses are online in "flying" configuration, unless the cabin door is also open, and the appropriate switch is depressed at the entry light panel, adjacent to the entry door.

Hi. Many thanks for the reply.

Yes, I’m having the issue with the master light switch at night.

It could perhaps be a MSFS 2024 beta issue(!?).

Understood about the Bar light - thanks. However the other cabin lights do seem to be affected by this issue. That is the switch doesn’t illuminate green and the lights don’t come on (I only know as I like to take external pictures of this beauty).

I’d prepared some screenshots, but seems as though I can only add images hosted by a third party on here.

It’s not really a big deal, just something I noticed as am currently using 2020 and 2024 in parallel (and the lighting issue isn’t present in 2020).

        Regards,

        Mike

Managed to add a screenshot. Hopefully you can see the master light switch is on but the panel backlighting is off. Thanks.

Edit: Just as a follow-up. I’ve found a screen shot I’d taken at night in Starship from a couple of weeks ago in MSFS2024 and the backlighting on the instrument panel is fine - so can only assume this issue is caused by the latest beta(s). Apologies.
