Question about Dynamic Registration

@Flak said in Question about Dynamic Registration:
I mentioned this before in another post. @Black-Square is there any way you could provide a single blank/plain livery where the mesh that normally contains the dynamic reg text is instead a “regular” decal material with a bitmap texture, so livery painters can paint our own static reg on liveries? We can’t paint directly on the engine nacelle textures because they are mirrored.
Yes, given that there's no timeline or even acknowledgement about the bug from MS, maybe we could have a modified UV layout that would let us make registration part of the livery. If you go that way, the custom system should still work once MS fixes the bug, with liveries that don't have a hardcoded registration.
@Marionettework Ironically, this was the first method I considered using for “more” dynamic registrations in my aircraft before I invested the time to create my current system.
@Kaaplink This is promising! I’m traveling right now, so I haven’t had the opportunity to try it. Hopefully I will find it’s fixed when I get home, and I will report back.

Can confirm works in SU4 beta
-
Confirming that while none of the default liveries work with dynamic registration, any additional community liveries do work, such as the N8244L livery from flightsim.to
-
@Starman The default ones should be working in the SU4 beta, do you have the option for it turned on in the tablet?
-
@Kaaplink I have it put in on the Tail Number section in the Configuration menu when selecting the livery, but can't find anything in the EFB for it. What am I missing lol
-
@Starman Once you put in the tail number when selecting the livery and load into the flight, go to the tablet. The first tab (Options) will have line to enable dynamic registration at the bottom, you'll need to scroll down to get to it.
