Customer frustrated by JustFlight's offer policy
-
Hello,
I see that the Piston and Turbine are on sale, which is excellent. I purchased the Piston for €42.99 over a year ago. I love this aircraft and am enjoying it very much; it is an impressive piece of work, congratulations.
That said, I now see on the JustFlight website that the Piston+Turbine bundle is around €35, and I wonder why customers who bought the product at its original price are not being offered a deal to purchase the missing add-on.
I don't think this is a good policy towards customers who trusted the product from the beginning. Of course, this is just the opinion of a customer frustrated by JustFlight's offer policy.
Best regards

The Turbine Duke is on sale also: https://www.justflight.com/product/black-square-turbine-duke
@trisager I know, thanks for responding. The thing is, if I hadn't bought the Piston a year ago for €42, I could now buy the Bundle for €36. My complaint is that they're not offering me a proportional discount to purchase the Turbine.
JustFlight did that with the Piper Arrow. I bought the Arrow III and, a month later, they gave me a discount at checkout for the Turbo Arrow, so it cost me the same as if I had bought the Bundle.
Best regards

Price protection for 30 days is one thing, but expecting a vendor to give you any sort of discount a year later is a bit of a stretch. It’s an awesome product, and I don’t think Nick is out buying a Lamborghini on his profits.
If it were me I’d give you the turbine for free, but then lock you out of using it for a year

@Gerardius so your complaint is that things are cheaper when you buy them later? The bundle was offered at launch, too.

I'll try to explain myself for the jokers who have difficulty understanding what they read:
What I would like is for them to offer me the Turbine at a price that is only the difference between the Piston and the Bundle at the list price, as they did a few years ago without me asking for it with the Piper Arrow. When I bought the Turbo Arrow, at checkout they applied a discount so that the total amount of the two purchases was the same as the price of the Bundle.
Is that clearer now?
Best regards.

@Gerardius A few circumstances have combined here to have you ending up in a frustrating position. To try and explain...
The Arrow offer was put there because the two single products were released at different times. We're glad you could take advantage of that offer. With the Dukes everything went on sale at the same point with the bundle offering the best value for money and as we expected the majority of customers opted for that package.
We have various add-ons and bundles and offers that we launch to try and offer the best value for money to our customers. What we're unable to do currently which would make things even more confusing and would be unwieldy for us is to extend those offers and manage what customers have and haven't done in terms of past purchases in future sales and promotions. I get that taking your case in isolation it would seem a simple situation to manage and offer but the technology isn't in place currently and being honest we don't have the resource to manage such situations and offers. We'd end up tying ourselves in knots and not getting anywhere fast.
It's the nature of the beast that whilst the vast majority of customers and community will be pleased to hear about sales and discounts there will be a minority of people that will feel short-changed due to circumstances like yours or perhaps there will be those who have only recently paid SRP for titles that are now listed in the sale. This is unavoidable but has simply always been the case I'm afraid.
As a gesture of goodwill in this instance I'll contact you directly and we'll see what we can arrange for you with a view to getting that Turbine Duke added to your Hangar at a fair price.
Thanks for your past custom and thanks to others who have posted here to try and help make things clearer.

@Voice-of-Reason Thank you very much for your reply. I find your explanation very reasonable, and it clears up my doubts. I didn't mean to complain, I just wanted to express my frustration at a previous positive experience with Arrow that I didn't realise couldn't be replicated today due to technical limitations, which are now very clear to me.
Thank you again, and best regards.

I didn’t have difficulty understanding what you were asking. You just don’t want to hear anything that’s contrary to your sense of entitlement.
@Gilandred Well, it doesn't seem to have been the case. I made it very clear that I didn't want price protection, especially not a year later, but only that I wanted the option to pay the difference between the Piston and the Bundle at the official price. Nothing else. The rest is just something you made up.
