Hey guys, I love this airplane.

But anybody knows how to swap the active and preset frequencies on the RTU? Whatever I do I just can't figure it out.

    Thanks in advance!

The button to the right of PRE will do the trick.

@jmarkows Unfortunately it doesn't. Of course that was my first thought. But it doesn't do anything no matter how many times I click it.

Then something is very wrong with either your plane or your installation. I assume the pilot avionics are also on if you're using the left RTU?

EDIT: I don't see anything skimming the manual over here that would stop that button from swapping the frequency, regardless of whatever reversionary modes you are or aren't in. I frequently just tune via the RTU instead of the CDU and I have never once had that button not work for me.

It doesn't work for me either. I just saw this post after adding my own.
Clicking the LSK buttons does not swap PRE and COM1 like this manual says it should.
I use 'Legacy' interaction. @jmarkows are you using 'Lock' maybe?

I am not, I only use legacy. I am on MSFS 24, I have not tried the Starship in 20, if that makes a difference.

I've found out that when first powering up and the main electrical system is not fully powered, the swap function does not operate. The LSK only switches between active and standby frequencies. But after engine start, I can swap frequencies.

@MD82 I'm not 100% sure what you mean here, since the preset frequency is the standby frequency, but I also have hunch about why this would be happening in general. I didn't realize that the MSFS radio events were not respected if the "COM" radio circuit did not have power. This should already be fixed in v1.2, but I will check it later.

What I meant was, when only on battery power and I set up my radios. LSK's 1 and 2 only change which radio frequency I can change with the tuning knobs. The function of pressing the LSK to swap the active and standby frequencies does not work.
When I'm in cruise however, and all systems powered, I can swap active and standby frequencies. I never thought much of it, and I never really focussed when it did or did not work, since I thought that it was normal system behaviour.

Ah, thank you. Like I said, that should be fixed by a related issue now.

EDIT: I just checked, and that was indeed the simulator's logic, and my other change fixed it.

Yes, that was it, thanks @MD82 . I've always tried it when on battery or GPU, never in flight with engines and generators on. I'll wait for the fix then.

                            Even with the avionics powered?
