V1.1 “soft launch” confusion?
-
As I understand it, you “soft launched” version 1.1 a few days ago in order to catch any issues or regressions before officially launching it. A regression was found with the airspeed trend vector, and yet you launched it anyways. So what was the point of a soft launch to begin with? Just curious…..

I think the reason for "soft launch" was to catch any deal breaking issues with the new custom autopilot. But fortunately the AP and many other things work much better in the new version, so I personally think it's a success and I'm glad they launched it in such a short time span rather than waiting for it to be perfect, because it never will be, there will always be minor issues yhat will need more time to fix.

Probably because Nick & co are on the way to FSExpo and nothing particularly breaking was found. The airspeed trend vector is annoying, but a fix was posted here on the forums.
If you think this is bad, just wait until you see beta SU feedback and how little of that makes it into the final SU.

It's fine, just the trend vector. Open that JS file with notepad and paste the new string of text over the old one. Ot wait until a new patch. It worked for me on both 2020 and 2024. I can't say I've seen anything else, but I've only done one flight in each.
