I read on one post that you need to activate engine damage in the msfs settings. Is that maybe off?

Would be weird if true, I don't want MSFS to go "your flight is over" after all

You can turn off aircraft damage, but engine damage has it's on setting

Yeah but the engine setting reads: "If enabled, any sustained maneuvers that cause significant stress to the engine will cause your flight to end"

            From Starships manual:

NOTE: The “Engine Stress Failure” option must be enabled in the MSFS Assistance menu for
            the engine to fail completely.

I have the option on and my engine fails without the flight ending.

Cannot really help any further, sorry.

Well, that's annoying, don't wanna keep having to toggle that on and off

I think there is no alternative, if there was, @Black-Square usually goes the extra mile.

Did you try enabling it? I have that on all the time and I don't think it will end your flight, only shut down an engine.

@Randolf same here, cannot attest to default msfs aircraft though.

I won't end your flight, and no default aircraft (that I'm aware of) even implement engine failures. Very few payware ones do, as well.

@Black-Square Thanks for the answer. My concern is MSFS ending my flight, not you. If that doesn't happen, sure. I've seen reports from people saying it happened to them on their PMDG planes from TOGA overstress. So, no idea. Guess I'll see. Would be pretty annoying to lose a flight to it though cause the sim says "you ded"
