fuel vent heater switches functional?

    "Hi! I'm really enjoying the Starship, but I noticed that fuel temperatures drop significantly during high-altitude cruise, yet the fuel vent heater switches appear non-functional. Given that the aircraft is capable of FL400+ cruise and fuel icing is simulated, wouldn't it make sense for the fuel heating system to be functional? Or have i missed some switches in the checklist 😫

        They were talking about cabin temps if i read correctly. My topic is about fuel temps, i'm at 35k feet and my fuel temps are creeping to -6 degrees and turning the fuel vent heater switches on or off does not seem to change anything. My questions is if it is simulated and functional or if i'm doing something wrong 🙂

            I would not expect that heating the fuel vents would have any significant impact on the fuel temperature. It is to prevent the vent from freezing up. Quick link to what the vents are.

            The limit is -27 so your fuel is fine. Believe there is a heat exchanger always running so nothing you need to manually change.

                Nick says toasty, so no idea what that means 🙂

                Just double checked the POH. -27° is correct. Don't worry about your high altitude ambitions, though! Each tank has a fuel-oil heat exchanger to keep the tanks toasty.

                        Everything here is correct. The fuel vent heaters are to prevent the vent lines from becoming blocked, which would create a vacuum in the tanks, staving the engines of fuel. The fuel is heated by fuel-oil-heat-exchangers, which you can at the top right of the engine visualizers. They are always operating and heating the fuel when the engines are running, and the amount of heating is calculated based on the oil temperature.
