Maintaining cabin temperature at high flight levels
-
Hello,
I'm on my ferry flight out of KBEC to MYEH. I'm at FL370 and even though my cabin temperature is set to Max (27°C), she keeps cooling down. It's now at 18°C with the cabin blower set to MIN. I can't set the cockpit blower to MIN without the instrument area overheating.
So, is this meant to be the case? Shouldn't the cabin temperature control be able to pump enough heat into the cabin to maintain cabin temperature?
Avionics Bay 16°C with automatic fans OFF
Instrument Panel 28°C with ALTN Blower ON and Cockpit Blower to 50%
Cabin 18°C with cabin temperature selector on MAX (27°C) and cabin blower set to MIN -
@jmarkows This is your answer. Also, the target temperature on the cabin visualizer will turn red when the system can no longer maintain the selected temperature for any reason, including what you encountered here.
