What constitutes a "cold start?"

I've spent a bunch of time in the sim today flying the Starship, all in one continuous go. I did one flight, landed, powered down, went back out for a practice approach, powered down, and then back out for one longer circular route.
Each flight has ended in a compete shut down of everything, including the batteries, and has even been left for a spell while I walked away.
After each power down, after returning and powering her back up, I would not get the CDU messages expected after a "cold start," and my original flight plan was still in the FMS, along with every checklist I had completed.
How does one reset all of that? Normally it might not be a big deal to clear the flight plan, however I'm an FSUIPC user and there's the CTD bug when clearing flight plans, so I had to manually clear everything except the last two, then overwrite them and enter everything.
I would have thought once everything was completely powered off there wouldn't be any persistence.
Bug or user error?

I looked into this yesterday. Right now, the only way to trigger a cold start is by loading a new flight, or by selecting "Reboot System" on the CDU's "FMSSFP" screen (a real debugging screen from the aircraft). What I just added for you is that the MFD checklists will now be cleared when you trigger this reboot system feature. Have fun!

The flight plan and CDU state is definitely not lost, and I can attest to that from first hand experience. I'm not sure about the checklists, though. You wouldn't want them to wipe from a momentary loss of power, so they might be on a timer.
