A masterpiece

Thank you for raising the bar in MSFS. You have joined a short list in my book from X-Plane 12. The Hot Start 650, FF 777, and maybe the A350 in MSFS. Amazing work! There are other great planes but these all stand above in some way, from someone who owns alot of payware.

Thank you! The Challenger 650 for X-Plane has come up a lot recently in discussions of Starship. I've never owned it myself, so I can't make the comparison, but I also struggle to find any GA aircraft matching Starship's complexity in any previous version of Flight Simulator. I've been very sheepish about making that claim, but I haven't seen anyone forward a counter claim. If you can think of one, please let me know!

Seriously. I've dreamt of flying a Starship since I got into aviation as a kid. As close as I got in this life was owning and flying a Cozy III for about 8 years. One of my friends based at my airfield used to call it a "Mini Starship". This airplane really does match the detail of the Hot Start Challenger in X-Plane, its great to have something this detailed in MSFS 2024. Thank you for the work you put into it.

@Black-Square I just thought I would share a little Starship story. I was working for a Beechcraft dealership selling airplanes in the mid-80's when the Starship was being developed. We were VERY excited about this airplane and many of us pinned our hopes on big sales, as the turboprop market for new airplanes was drying up big time! This airplane was supposed to give us a Hawker size cabin with the economy of turboprop operations and the speed and range close to that of a Citation. As you are well aware, the airplane ran into huge certification issues and many of the design goals could not be met. By the time the airplane was certified, I was a young FO for a major airline, so I never got the chance to experience the disappointment the sales team faced when the Starship was released to the public for sale.
It is a good thing that Raytheon owned Beechcraft at the time, as they had the deep pockets to absorb the financial loss. It would have bankrupted Beechcraft if not for them, but then, I don't think Beechcraft would have tackled such an ambitious venture given the state of the new airplane market at that time and the enormous cost of R&Ding such an airplane.
Thank you for producing such an amazing addon to MSFS2024. This is truly a remarkable airplane and a joy to fly.

Absolutely agree - this is a masterpiece.
I flew King Air 350's IRL for a couple years as a corporate pilot in SoCal and while I loved the Black Square analog King Air and the Turbine Baron, the Starship has taken the best of those two and dialed it up to 11 - simply outstanding.
No desktop sim has ever felt so realistic from an operational perspective - ground handling and beta is fantastic, awesome sounds, deep systems - absolutely love it.
Thanks Nick for a world class tribute to this iconic machine!
