Tried a couple of times to save a flight plan as a route and no joy, probably doing something wrong but can't think what..

    1. To save the current flight plan to memory, press the home index “IDX” button on the CDU keypad, followed by the softkey for the Route Library. Select any empty route on this screen. Enter the number “00” in the “ENTER RTE #” field, and then press the softkey beside “ENTER→”. The route has now been saved and can be recalled on future flights.

This bit all OK but the route library page never updates...Also the current plan e.g. CYTZ/CYDF doesn't show on the line selects prior to entering 00 (or 01 whatever for the route 😵 which it seems to on page 116 of the manual?

    Cheers
    James

So I got it working, route 00 seems like it the active route, so do your flight plan then follow

Then enter 01 and you should get a ROUTE 01 page, now enter 00 at the ENTER RTE # prompt and that should do it

Interesting...Makes sense I guess, at least it wasn't because of SU3 beta etc, even though I regressed to SU2 to check lol

Having an approach in the flight plan should not prevent saving it. In fact, I implemented this before I discovered that the real aircraft actually disregards the approach while saving routes, but I left the feature for convenience. I will look into this in a few minutes.

@Black-Square Nick, go and get yourself a nice big bottle of red wine (or white or bourbon) and put your feet up for a while. She's a beautiful thing. Most of this stuff will be us needing to RTFM 👍🏼

Ah, I found the issue. It didn't technically have anything to with with having an approach loaded, but there was a tiny error that would prevent it from saving. All fixed!

I appreciate that you're enjoying the aircraft, but I didn't come this far only to stop before these little bugs are fixed!

@hazzer111 Next stop, Flight Sim Expo at the end of the week! It's far from a vacation (I lose my voice by noon on the first day), but at least I get to meet some Starship fans and some excellent people 🙂
