Can anyone get ADF beacons to show on SDU
-
I'm on my first flight and tried tuning to a few ADF beacons I've flown pretty much over the top of but even though the beacons are being displayed on the MFD map they aren't being displayed on the SDU when I tune the ADF radios to them.
Is anyone else seeing the same thing or am I doing something stupid ?

I just checked, and everything seems to be working over here. Are these NDB's you've used before? I find the MSFS database can be a little inconsistent with NDB's.

I've definitely used a few before - BHX, EME and EMW - though not for a little while
I'll try them in something else and see how that gets on.On a somewhat different ADF topic - you can tune 0.5khz ADF frequencies using the turning knob on the RDU but is it possible to enter them directly on the ADF page of the CDU or can you only enter a whole frequency and you then tweak it on the radio panel ?

Done a bit more testing and I can see those ADFs fine if I start the Starship on the runway with everything running but not if I start it cold and dark.
This suggests I need to through the startup checklists again and see what I'm missing -
This one took me a minute to look into. I thought I made a mistake, but the problem is that it's impossible to distinguish an entry of 1505 on the CDU between 150.5 kHz, and 1505.0 kHz without a decimal key. The description in the avionics manual is ambiguous, so I might have to ask one of the owners to test it for me.
Ah, I suspect the checklist might not actually be your problem. If you are using external hardware, it's possible that it might be setting (or not setting) the "avionics master" event. I've tried overriding this in all my aircraft, but sometimes I still see it present itself due to the number of hardware/binding software combinations that there are in the wild. This old "radio master" binding still affects some of the radio navigation code in MSFS that hasn't changed since the 90's.
