Issues with Caravan Stram Gauge Overhaul

Good day,

I'm having all sorts of issues with this plane for a while and I'm finding it very flaky.

Autopilot: never really worked properly. Does not capture selected altitude, does not capture glide scope on ILS approaches, won't disarm, that sort of things.

Avionics: don't work, brightness very low, stuck at self test, no display, etc. (Yes generator is ON and charging, and no circuit breakers popped.)

Flight plans from World maps won't be imported into the GPS (530 as well as 750).

Cockpit instruments kind of blurry.

Deleted the state file and recreated it but didn't fix issues.

I've read somewhere that the PMS50 could cause issues. I uninstalled it but it didn't fix either.

Is there a fix for these, because the plane is unflyable in this state for me and I'm about to ask for a refund.

When the weather radar gets stuck on that screen (along with the other behaviors you mention), it is indicative of an avionics incompatibility. Usually this is an outdated item in your community folder, or an old modification that is no longer needed. I suspect that if you temporarily remove everything from your community folder, things will work correctly. If you want additional advice on what could be causing the problem, the Just Flight technical support team has gotten very good at diagnosing these exact problems with my aircraft, since they can make use of so many interacting 3rd party GPS addons. Unfortunately even with empty Community folder (only bksq-aircraft-analogcaravan present) the problem is still there. I don't use AddonLinker, the bksq-aircraft-analogcaravan is directly inside Community.

Thanks for giving it a try. Have you tried reinstalling the Caravan? I have seen very rare cases where the installer somehow misses a file, or produces an error along the lines of "installation path too long" that might prevent a file from being installed. Beyond that, I would recommend Just Flight technical support, as they might have a specific note on this issue when addons in the community folder do not appear to be the issue.

Are you using MSFS 2024 by chance? If I recall correctly, they have not yet been fully updated for the new Sim as of yet.
