I am enjoying the Turbine Duke very much; however, the landing and taxi lights produce just a circular pool of light directly below the lamps. Is anyone else having this problem? PC installation with v1.1 update.

From what I imagine you're describing, I think I saw one user report something like this a while ago. I think it was this post, here, although the screenshots are gone now. I think it's very unlikely that the Comanche actually has anything to do with it, but I would suggest temporarily emptying your community folder just to see if it might be something interfering with the lighting effects.

So here's the thing. I if allow the A2A Comanche to be active with the MSAddon Linker tool, the Dukes will have circular lights and a myriad of other lighting issues. If I deactivate the Comanche, the Dukes behaves normally. It happened again after the last update to the Comanche. I left it active in the community folder. Broken lights again. I have no idea how another add-on in the community folder is screwing with the Duke lights, but they must share something that interferes.

If you have some time, would you be able to upload a screenshot of just the file names in the Comanche's "effects" folder? That should be only one folder down from the Comanche's main folder in your Community Folder. I don't own the Comanche, so it would be very interesting for me to compare the file names that I use for possible collisions.

Doubt that'll be a conflict. They all have the A2A_PA24 nomenclature.

Thanks for posting that. All mine have Duke prefixes, so I'm not sure where the conflict could be... very strange. Thanks for taking the time to post that.

No problem. I had flown the Duke so much that when the update came out for the Comanche, I gave it a flight. This was a week or two later. So when I went back to the Duke I had those spot lamps again. I restarted a time and even loaded the turbine version. Same problem. I think I ended up searching here to see my post about it. Then remembered the Comanche was to blame then too. I moved it out of community and the problem was solved. I'm really surprised more people haven't complained about it.

Thanks for all the help. Removing the Comanche from my community folder fixed the problem.
