Sorry to bring the 'sounds' topic up again. I have read rumors and speculations in various places that the TBM 850 might get new sounds made by Boris Audio.
But I haven't yet read any commitments about this. Are there any commitments on this directly from the developer? If not, how can this question be put to him? -
Nick the developer will read your post and he'll no doubt reply at some point. From a Just Flight perspective we're aware that there's no concrete plan for a new sound set from Boris, or indeed anyone, just now. That's not a final answer and things can always change but that would be down to Nick himself. A bit of patience and I'm sure you'll get a reply direct from the horses mouth soon.

Those rumors and speculation are accurate, as I have said this was something I would explore for a future update, but I have also made no commitments. Boris and I have spoke about this recently, but unfortunately, the time and money required from both of us to locate a TBM 850, record it, create the sound package, add the code needed to dive the sounds, and test everything is quite substantial, and hard to justify in this particular instance.
As I make my long-term plans for the future, I like the idea of leaving my products all in the best possible condition to be enjoyed on all foreseeable platforms. As such, I would like that to include custom sound packages for all of them. Boris and I will continue to discuss this and execute when the conditions are right and it can be done with minimal interruption to our new product development. Thank you for expressing your interest! My aircraft wouldn't have half the features they do today without my users telling me what they wish for.

Thank you very much Nick, for this detailed and honest answer. I understand very well the reasons why it is currently not possible to create a custom soundset. Maybe a crowd-funding could be started ;-).
I'm going to buy the TBM 850 today anyway, because what I've seen on YouTube so far and all the reviews I've read have convinced me that it's a really good airplane. From my point of view, this is an exceptionally detailed and very high quality work that is second to none. Thank you for your hard work!

Speaking of sounds, are there supposed to be sounds when the air conditioning system is turned on? If so, I don’t hear any at all.
As for a custom sound pack, I’d even pay extra for it, but that’s just me. The default sounds aren’t actually that bad to begin with. Again, my opinion.

Thanks @Black-Square for the detailed and honest feedback, although I was hoping for a more positive answer.
I agree to @Gilandred in the option of an external sound set at extra cost, however I cannot judge if there is a market that justifies the development cost.
Besides Boris Audio Works, with whom you appear to be in close contract, I'm also looking at FTSim+, who release sound sets for a very high range of aircraft.
These are said to be on mediocre level, but I enjoy using them on the Asobo Citation Longitude & PMDG 737-800 and I'm sure they would upgrade the experience on the BlackSquare TBM 850 as well - furthermore there could be a package with the Asobo TBM 930, which opens up a much wider market being part of the default aircrafts in MSFS.
