Release date

Hello All,
I wish I had stayed up to date responding to all your messages, because there are too many to address all of them at once now! Thank you all for your input and humor regarding this unfortunate situation.
Earlier today, I believe I arrived at a solution that should allow newcomers to steer clear of the WT GNS issue, but allow those already familiar with the issue to enjoy the aircraft on SU14 or SU15 Beta with all the GPS options.
As some of you mentioned above, 90% of the issue here was a bug introduced into the WT GNS 530/430 in SU14 that affected all other GPS units and autopilots in my aircraft. The other 10% was the new SU15 ground handling physics. The aircraft should be perfectly enjoyable on SU14, but lack some of the improved physics. On SU15, I have seen strange weathervaning when parked in high winds (>30kts), which I had hoped would be resolved by now.
Thank you all for your patience. It's been a delight to see so many people excited for the aircraft after watching the pre-release coverage this week. There will be more coverage this week, and hopefully an official message from Just Flight and myself regarding how we decide to handle a pre-SU15 release.
Blue Skies, Everyone!

@Black-Square - Thanks so much for clarifying where you and JustFlight are at in regards to this ongoing SU15 dilemma, and I’m glad to hear you’ve begun considering options for a release prior to SU15. As much as I’m looking forward to the improved ground physics in SU15, in my opinion the time spent coping with the sometimes annoying SU14 ground physics is minimal in comparison to actual flying time, and I (and many others, I’m sure) are more than ready to fly the Dukes!

@Black-Square GOOD news!

@Black-Square Fantastic, sounds awesome! Looking forward to hearing that announcement, my Paypal balance is well beyond ready haha.
By the way - just curious - is there a Black Square discord server, or do you have a presence on Discord of some kind? I wanted to run an idea by you in a non-public method of communication. Or perhaps email?
Thank you so much for getting back to us!

I'm amazed at how quickly you have all seen this and replied! I'll do my best to deliver you the aircraft as soon as I can, and in the best shape for everyone to enjoy before SU15.
I have resisted the many requests for me to join Discord, because I am generally not a fan of social media, so I am very happy that so many of you have found me here to communicate with and ask your questions of me. I've always encouraged others to start a Black Square Discord server, but I'm afraid that I wouldn't have any time to work on my new aircraft while feeling pressured to respond to everyone on Discord. @DxMarovitch, you can direct-message me right here on the JF forums, and I will look forward to hearing what you have on your mind.

@Black-Square fantastic news ! Don’t worry about the discord we all here will be ready to help you ! You just keep developing those great aircraft ! (I’ve sent a private message by the way)
I believe you made our day!
Looking forward to buy the aircraft on release

@Black-Square Great news, thank you!.
WRT Discord - it is amazing for communities to chat and huddle but honestly awful for support. Forums like this are much better for that because of the threading it allows. It does seem possible to thread there too but the majority of servers don't do it and even when they do it's mostly ignored.
A good argument against would be to look at the BATC forum since that dropped - it's a firehose of repeat questions and any useful content is lost in the noise. It's a shame because for more focused groups it's great but the overhead of running a larger one seems horrendous.
More on-topic, I read the pre-release manual but couldn't see landing speeds - are they in there?

Thanks, Nick! That's great news. Having to wait another month+ just for SU15 to be public would have been a bummer.

I already modified my mobile home cockpit back to twin from flying the C250 the whole time and updated my gauges as far as I could with the Baron and can‘t wait to get my hands on the piston Duke. We have a long weekend here in germany from tomorrow on. I hope I can get them soooooon to dive in them this weekend. 😅

@Black-Square Thank you for bringing us the only positive news in this mess asobo has created! For me the only reason why I was interested in the SU15 release was because it holds the Dukes back. Now we have a (strobe) light on the horizon :)
-
@Black-Square Thank you for a response, looking forward to flying the Duke

Thanks.
If the problem is only related to xbox - do you recommend u15 beta?
Be realistic - u15 can be months away. Asobo wants to make money. M$F$2024 is where the money is, not u15.
Late 2023 a qualified guess plans for 2024:
May 1 - u15, finished all manpower goes M$F$2024.- Today, there is no reason for that all manpower goes to M$F$ 2024.
U15 will be worked on by volunteer overtime in weekends
- Today, there is no reason for that all manpower goes to M$F$ 2024.

@Black-Square I find releasing it for SU14 is a sound decision.
We all know SU14 ground physics, cause these are what we have to live with right now for all aircraft.
If You found a way to fix the WT issue(s), then it´s great news.Remembering the RealAir Dukes for P3D (or was it FSX ?) I really look forward to Your version for MSFS, having all the other Black-Square aircraft.

This is great news... looking forward to it

@Derek
I watched "twotonedmurphy" video "BlackSquare Duke | Preview Flight ☘️🛩️| Flight Sim Sunday" and made the comment "A2A started this...And "BlackSquare" walks in and say's..."hold my beer"...I can't wait for this to release. My guess is you won't be able to get near it on the release day...Servers will crash and tears will flow.."
It's all good...when everything settles down I'll get it...
