    Hello,

I'm really enjoying the Black Square Bonanza. It's a great addon and I truly like all the fine details. Especially when it comes to the engine simulation. But there is one thing that I don't like: The temperature of the engine oil rises very quickly after engine start. Even when starting the engine in freezing temperatures, the engine oil reaches a temperature of 60°C within 45 seconds.

Even an IO-550 needs a while to heat up 8 liters of cold oil. It should take between 5 and 10 minutes before the engine oil temperature reaches the green arc. Depending on the outside temperature.

It would be great if this could be forwarded to the developer so that he can take a look at this.

Thanks a lot! And I'm already looking forward to the Baron.

    Greetings
    Tim

@tim-hh So we have an answer for you. From the dev...

This is a limitation of the underlying Asobo engine simulation. I have an idea how to improve the engine temperature simulation, but it will have to wait for a future update after the Baron release. It's not as easy as changing a constant in a configuration file. So will look at doing something, yes.

          Hope that helps for now.

Hello, same go's for the the cooling rate. Within a minute or two after engine shutdown the cylinders and oil are dead cold (Baron and Bonanza). So even at quick turnarounds you never have to bother about a hot engine start.
