@martyn I hope you understand we really enjoy the plane and are anxious to have the update. When it's ready obviously. Please give us an update on the situation. Thanks.

@thtanner I appreciate the frustration and it's very much felt here too, but the work required for WT GNS and TDS GTNXi compatibility has been much more significant than expected, due to their introduction of custom autopilot logic.

After some further tweaking I'm happy to report that the PA28 updates are now being processed for release, with release currently planned for Monday. The final change log can be found here: https://community.justflight.com/topic/2257/update-change-logs-v0-5-5-released-edited-31-3-23

@martyn Thanks! Before I run the update, will the hours I've accumulated on the airplane survive the update? I've got about 37 I think and I'm enjoying watching these accrue in real time. If the update resets this, can I edit a file to manually restore the correct number of hours? If that's the case, could you please tell me where these are kept? Thanks!

EDIT: Found it. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/flight-hour-meter-for-total-hours-improperly-resetting/389694/5 backed up all the Arrows state files just in case I need to restore the hours manually.

EDIT: Verified. State survived the updates!

I just checked with the Marketplace and it says I'm up to date, but in the Piper, I can see that my EFB is still the old one and thus the plane is not actually up to date. Is there a timeline for the bundle being updated on the Marketplace? I'm dying to try the new upgrades. Apologies if this is covered somewhere else. I looked.

@fauxflights Arrow updates were sent to them last night. I'd expect you'll see them updated at some point next week. No guarantees of course but something around that timeline.

@voice-of-reason Are you guys able to ping someone on the Asobo side to see what the hold up is?

Just like @Fauxflights , I am eagerly awaiting the update, especially some fixes in regards to the GTN 750. However, it still hasn't went live on the marketplace almost 4 weeks later.

    Thanks for the assistance.

@dukman821 We don't need to ping them an email, they communicate as and when required and when updates are sent across. Because our a/c use the WASM Gauge extra time has to be allowed for the testing process so last week was always going to be out of the question. This week looks more promising so hopefully by Thursday they'll be available. No guarantees of course but that's when everyone is aiming for currently. Thanks and hope that helps.

@hama Thanks for sharing the tip about removing the WT GNS530. This is one of the behaviors I am eagerly awaiting to be resolved by the update, along with the other great additions.

@voice-of-reason Thanks for the quick response!

I have some additional questions regarding how marketplace updates work on their end, but at this point I think they are irrelevant and won't speed things up.

I have learned from this experience that it's best to buy directly from you guys to receive updates much quicker, rather than rely on the marketplace pipeline to receive them.

    Thanks again.

I like to ask if a further update is in development?
After you have luckily corrected the flight behaviour in windy conditions, the ground behaviour in wind needs to be looked at i think. Starting and landing in even light wind is always a wild rodeo ride with the PA-28.
Also i have an issue in all three models (III, III / IV Turbo) with the pms50 GTN750: When i change the HDG, the yellow HDG line in the GTN map reacts belated, and flickers sometimes. In the HPG H145 and FSW C414AW i.e. this is not the case. So i won't expect this as an issue in the GTN.

@hama was having trouble with the arrow's ground handling after the most recent update, too, but I fixed that problem with a change in my technique. Prior to the update, I was setting the elevator trim to be slightly nose-up for takeoff. That seemed to avoid the worst issues with abrupt swerving during the takeoff roll.

The new update includes Asobo's new ground friction parameters, so the front wheel will have more friction now than it did before. If I set the elevator trim slightly nose-up like I did before, the nose wheel will lift off the runway too early, and the airplane swerves into the wind. But if I keep the trim neutral and apply some light forward pressure on the yoke during the takeoff roll until I reach rotation speed, the airplane's ground handling is excellent.
