FS Traffic for MSFS

@jf-john Hey John, thanks for the update. Just one quick question. Is the list of airliners final? As I did notice some popular airliners are not in the list like Cebu Pacific
-
@stickysims Hello,
The list isn't final and we're adding more airlines as we speak. I'll see what I can do about Cebu. Any others you like to suggest then go ahead!
Cheers

@jf-john Hi John, Any plans for any Cargo Airlines, such as DHL Air or Fedex as these have a fairly big presence at airports?

@valefan16 Hello,
Yes we are planning on including cargo airlines. Not in the initial release but for the future.Cheers

@Derek curiously, upon perusing the list of aircraft models being released, there is no 767, 777F, MD-11 models. Litterally 95% of both UPS and FedEx's fleets. Really bummed as I've just realized this fact. I was hoping not to mess with AIG but it appears I will nedd to. Any plans on this huge hole in the model set to adding them in?
They sound like freight planes. I think the ones being worked on at the moment are all for passengers. We also plan to add more aeroplanes after release. and things like GA, military, freight etc are all being looked into.
@derek I only fly cargo. It would be nice if you could introduce some freighters ASAP, if only static non flyable. It gets pretty lonely pulling into empty cargo terminals. And in general cargo is the 'second class citizen' in flight sim which is a shame. During the pandemic cargo kept flying, passengers did not. And looking to the future there are a lot of reports within the industry that the passenger market is expected to decrease, some say significantly, while cargo is expected to greatly increase.
One day within the sim we may see a bustling cargo industry with lots of freighter aircraft, cargo trucks, trains, ground vehicles, workers etc. Much more interesting than passengers. Dream on!
Thanks for all you do at JF.

Hello everyone,
Just to introduce myself, my name’s John and I'm part of the development team at Just Flight, and I'm currently working on FS Traffic.
Whilst all has been quiet, I can confirm that development of FS Traffic is progressing well. Over the past few months we have been working with a team of artists who have been creating over 700 liveries across 43 models, comprising of the various real world aircraft types/engine. Recently we made the decision to add the 747-400 to the fleet. Here’s a preview of it still waiting to be painted.
To address some of the questions and concerns posted this forum and elsewhere; like any other developer we are at the mercy of the simulator when it comes to limitations but we will work with Asobo to iron these out over time.
FS Traffic won’t replace any live traffic but we will be including flight plans for both pre and post pandemic years, along with tools so that you can manage flight plans and aircraft to your hearts content. Let me allay any fears about experiences with much older traffic expansions; FS Traffic is a completely new product with brand new models and code. It's being developed by our in-house team so you can expect the same high level of support as with any of our aircraft products.
I'll bring you more info soon and will regularly be dipping into the forums to answer any questions and discuss any feedback you have.
In the mean time here's a preview of some of the modelling and livery work.

Not sure if this is the proper to ask for a request, but a Western Air repaint for ERJ145 would be greatly appreciated.

@jf-john Re Cargo "being planned for the future".
The future is here! :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:@robhatch Cargo is difficult because almost no schedules exist. Adhoc and private schedules are normal in the cargo world. Making custom plans from viewing flightaware/flightradar would be great to have, community members could make them as long as we have repaints to assign them to. Hopefully this package releases soon I am excited to try out AI in MSFS for the first time!

@twentyfivehundred Thanks for reply,
I understand what you say re schedules. But to just have a few well modelled/liveried static Freighters available would be nice so I don't feel so lonely at Cargo Terminals. Not necessary to have schedules or even ad hoc take offs and landings. But the occasional Freighter movements would be nice.
Cheers!
