Any estimate for the Warrior update?
-
My last flight was the worst, and we haven't heard any response from the Devs in 14 days, and even then only that they are aware of issues with SU6. They haven't acknowledged this specific issue at all. I'm going to submit a bug report and see if that at least gets a response.

@dickey-fuller So no more updates? This is a known issue and needs to be addressed, regardless of what may or may not happen with SU7. And the Hawk doesn't have this issue, so apparently they've solved it for that product.
This sticky makes it clear that new updates are coming - https://community.justflight.com/topic/2796/sim-update-6-issues
Nowhere have we said that we are waiting for SU7 and all the PA28 updates will be available next week.
The Hawk T1 was in the latter stages of development when a preview of SU6 alerted us to this issue and allowed us to fix it. The PA28s were already released so it's been more time-consuming to fix, and we have chosen to use the opportunity to address all the other feedback received since the previous update(s).
Hopefully the multiple PA28 updates so far (8 or 9 for the Arrow III?) make it clear that we have no intention of ceasing to update our aircraft.
Another developer has also made Asobo aware of this as it's ultimately a MSFS bug rather than PA28 bug, although we can work around it: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/questions/3560/exterior-and-interior-model-shown-in-the-virtual-c.html

@martyn Thank you, Martyn. This is really all I wanted, to know that you are aware of the visual issue and that you are actively working to fix it. My 'no more updates' statement was directed specifically at the comment above mine, not at your development team. I loved flying the Warrior, and I will again when I can see properly.

@martyn I'm considering purchasing this aircraft and perhaps the Arrow tomorrow. Have these issues been fixed or are they still in the pipeline? I don't particularly fancy paying for it tomorrow only to find it's not working correctly. That wouldn't be a good way to rekindle my relationship with Just Flight after a prolonged spell away from flight sim

@jazz Hi, I'd be happy for Martyn to chime in with more info, but as of now, no, it has not been updated.
-
@katchaplin Hmm, A bit disappointing. I was looking forward to getting my hands on one of these or both tomorrow. Is there a list of current problems I can take a look at?
@jazz You can see the fixes that are in work in the pinned topic. They're adding to them as they're worked.
IMO the biggest issue right now is the pop in textures that cropped up after SU6, but if you don't fly in first person or mind switching to external briefly to "clear" it, they work just fine.

@jmarkows Ahh, thanks. I see it now. However, I can't see why anyone would buy this thing and not fly it in first-person. That would be utterly missing the point, surely. How frequently must one switch to external view to clear the bug?
-
@jazz Mileage varies, some people only get it at engine shutdown, I've seen it in all phases of flight, particularly during preflight. I found a workaround, to basically 0 out all ground AI traffic, but it makes for very lonely airports.
@katchaplin I see. Thanks for your help. I have been struggling to decide whether to buy the Warrior II or the Arrow III first but now I must decide whether to buy either until this is fixed
Perhaps I can live with all the other niggles for a week or two (although I doubt it) but to be constantly bugged by a visual glitch is not tolerable to me. I have no doubt they will release the update quickly but with another Flight Simulator update due in a day or two I can't help wonder if that will be a few days or a few weeks.
Decisions decisions.

@jazz I love flying the Warrior, I have the Arrow as well, it's not as much what I want, but it's very nice. The graphics glitch is annoying, but the aircraft is still awesome. I'm still flying it, even with the issues.
-
I fell in love with the Warrior and I'm actually building a cockpit for the Pipers. The glitch is annoying, to be sure, but easily worked around.
I stopped because I also thought the radio was bugging out; support helped me realize that at some point AI ATC was turned on (embarrassing...), and if I wasn't smitten with the DC-6 I'd still be flying these regularly.
With that distraction, I'm ok waiting for the update, but I'll be back in the cockpit soon enough.
At this point I'm probably ready to move up to the Turbo Arrows too.

With all honesty, with the SU7 pending tomorrow it looks imprudent to release an update now or anytime before SU7 unless the team has the beta and can test their model with the upcoming changes. But even then it is worth checking nothing is broken after the release with its possible last-minute changes. What I'm saying we are unlikely to see the update before tomorrow or even the day after.

@walterbeech I thought they released the update last week as promised. Ah no wait, it was the changelog. You'd better check that the update is compatible with SU7 before releasing it.

@walterbeech Yes, this is what I was thinking.
